Re: Begginer strapless surf board - North nugget, airush mini monster or suggestions

:thumb: I think a very wide board like the Nugget will make it much harder to waterstart and carve. After 3 sessions when you can stand on the board, width won't really matter. I say buy a $100 used surfboard and ride it til it breaks (maybe a season, maybe less). By then you will now what kind of ...

Re: 12m or 14m Slingshot Rally for 200 lbs riders ??

I have always suggested a 17m as a first kite and plan just getting the feel for it on the marginal side of the wind range. My reason is simple, you are not efficient and you just simply need to be powered to progress faster. A large light wind board is a must if you opt for an 14m. As a heavier rid...

Tool list

I've been kinda kicked the idea of building my own surfboard for awhile. Before I get started I would like to pick up the all basic tools I would need. I unfamiliar with carpentry tools and would like a list

Blade fat lady

Thinking about picking up 2017 blade fat lady from local rep, I have always liked blade kites, but don't own one, mainly because I'm a cheap ass and would always buy used kites that have a couple seasons on them. Last time if flew a fat lady, I believe it was 2013 or 2014. How does the latest genera...

Re: Strapless surfboard for 205 to 225 rider

I'm only 175 and 6'2 I jumped on a buddies Dialer and his 5'3 Vader a few weeks ago. I was very impressed with the Vader. So smooth, and doesn't fight the kite speed like many surfboards. The Vader felt like it was made for kiting. I bought a 5'5 Vader the next day. How do you like your 5'5 Vader c...

Strapless surfboard for 205 to 225 rider

Looking for advice I own a 5'11 slingshot dialer, great board for learning and lighter wind, being an heavier rider I can push it into stronger wind and waves, because the volume won't make it ridiculously bouncy and uncomfortable if I have proper foot placement, but it does beat up my knees. I was ...

Re: 1st Directional Board / Light Wind Board

I've been using a 2013 slingshot dialer to learn on, if you can find one in decent shape it would be also a good board. I'm 215 and its pretty floaty and plenty stable for your first jibes and switching feet. And once you figure foot placement its not terrible in the chop. I like the looks of the ca...

Re: Brokite Hybrid or Pop

Never rode one, but several locals here in west Michigan own them and swear by them.
