Re: Evo 14m with low bar?

Kitexpert "Of course there is a difference when using standard low and high V bars for high V kite. But this is not because of split height in such but because of different line lengths." This would make sense if you were using it on a kite that does not typically use a high V and the kite designer ...

Re: Evo 14m with low bar?

Running a low V bar with High V kite Is not ok. Specially bandit and duotone, needs High V bar to keep their shape. Otherwise they fly too"open". Thats the purpose of High V bar. High V bar can be used in every kite Why don't we all confess once and for all that this is complete bullshit? Do you un...

Re: Evo 14m with low bar?

Thanks for the info regarding the Duotone V-Distributor. Are all of your kites high-V? I can see threading my center lines thru the V-Distributor if its not too painful. If its a hassle, that would discourage me from using one on my low-V bar when all my other kites are low-V. I assume it doesn't w...

Re: Evo 14m with low bar?

I have an 11m Evo that I use with low v bar and the device noted above. I've played around with setting it on different location on my lines and I do notice a difference and prefer it since you can tune the kite to your liking. I flew it without it once and found that preferred it on there.

Re: Slingshot Machine V1 big air kite 2022

I demo'd the v1 15m at the start of this year (and missed out on buying it) and it was also very similar in terms of overall feel of the v2 - tbh they feel the same - this one is definitely a little lighter, I've had this since July now (Yes I got lucky and scored one before they were released) and...

Re: Kiteboarder meets Needlefish

Two months ago I was in the Bahamas and had a needle fish jump out and try to spear me as well. Fortunately for me he was little and only bruised me. I saw it all happen to. I made a couple passes in the area where it was about 1/2 mile from shore and looked over my shoulder right as he jumped out o...

Re: Travel Bag Recommendations

Yeah I think goes with preference and what you're bringing along more than anything. When i was approaching 50 lbs the bag seemed like it had a bunch of extra space still in it so it felt awkward to pull around and it carried additional unneeded weight because of the extra size. Part of the extra sp...

Re: Travel Bag Recommendations

I had the Mystic bag pictured above and didnt care for it. Mine didnt hold up well with several large cuts through the fabric and it doesnt have any padding along the sides. Also, I felt like it was unnecessarily big if you actually try to stay under weight. I used for about 5 years with about 2 tri...

Re: Recommended Line Length for 3m LEI

I think the previous post about foilkites has ended up here by mistake, belonging to another thread.... Back to the topic. Weight of the small LEI's does not mean that much, they can still fly in quite light wind, even a 3 or 4 m2, and definitely less than where you can start foiling. But I have no...

Re: Recommended Line Length for 3m LEI

Can it be that the kite is heavy for such small area and it only works in strong winds? I was thinking the same thing especially with the way it was launching. The wind may of been a little lighter but either way I was decently powered on a 14m and twin tip. Next time I have the opportunity I'll gi...
