Re: preventing heel dents in EPS?

Concave deck shape under your foot will do the job, adding bit of better grip.

Re: flysurfer sonic3, any news?

Aloha, After more than 10 sessions on Sonic 9 and maybe 5 sessions on 15m I'm more and more convinced that in usual gusty/shifty conditions on nearby lake spot my preferred kites are Sonics this year. My so far favorite 9m Soul is resting. It's unbelievable how Sonics are eager to fly. Big wind shif...

Older flysurfers had blow-out vents that used a semi-rigid plastic strip to keep them closed during normal operation.
That’s interesting.
One vent against each air inlet would do the job.
And no need to close the vents after crash.

Re: Soul kite repair

It is sad a good solution to that hasn't been found yet. Pansh's seems the closest. It's a huge weakness on small foils. Just yesterday I crashed 8m Soul leading edge quite heavily. Both air outlets opened and maybe that saved my kite. Managed to relounch quickly pulling back lines and safely saile...

Re: Recommendation on cold weather kiteboarding gloves

Below 3C I let a cup of cold water in each of my 3 finger glove. Water heats up from my palm and circulate inside, so my fingers stay warm even 3 hours of my session.

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

IMHO in the last second of the clip this mono behaves as typical foil with stabilizer.

Re: Where to shim?

You mean you put a shim under the front screw of your front wing? This makes the lift go a bit towards the back, right? Wouldn't it increase the drag? Yes, if you are mounting your front wing above fuse. Use hard foam 3 mm thick, sanded on one end more to taper it. At high speed drag is higher, so ...

Re: Where to shim?

I simply shim in:
4. Front wing - fuselage connection.
This reduces front pressure, improves pitch agility a bit, reduces max speed a bit. Usually there is no need for other adjustments (1; 2 or 3)

Re: Recoating kite fabric

Sorry but not wrong at all. You are exhibiting what is common to feel some greater scientific knowledge in ignorance or maybe blindness to common facts, like is surrounding climate change. If the viscosity of air was greater than water you would be having a horrible time moving around. Have you tri...
