Re: Torn biceps tendon, perhaps holding bar incorrectly

Hugh2, TheJoe notwithstanding my experience is that more people show up at the ER for pain control post shoulder surgery than any other procedure. To toot my own horn a bit, I introduced a thing called the pain pump in our facility -essentially a three day nerve block- and the number of post surgica...

Re: Torn biceps tendon, perhaps holding bar incorrectly

Hugh, I can almost guarantee that your problem was not caused by your grip. It may have made things worse but it wasn't the cause. You said you were having your dorsal rotator cuff tendon repaired. I am guessing that it was the supraspinatus as this is the tendon that often bites it with a dislocati...

Re: What’s your yearly kite budget?

This is a question that I have been curious about for some time, but I would humbly submit that the actual gear is a small part of what most of us spend on kiting. So if you are lashing out many thousand dollars to go on a kiting vacation I would argue that those funds should also been included in w...

Re: Mast position - explain like I am 5

Oh what a difference an inch makes and that is not a sexual metaphor. By a combination of moving the mast forward and pushing the foot strap back a bit I was able to ride until my foot cramped and my wife was bored. At some point in the future I will be asking for advice on how to change stance but ...

Re: recomendations impact vest (with a bit of a rant)

thanks ziatko23. That is pretty much what I thought but I am having a hell of a time finding a large NP or ion in a bright color. If you are either xxxl or petite there are plenty. Just not large.

Re: Mast position - explain like I am 5

Thank you everyone. I looked at how the board is set up and using the hook as positioned it is obviously too close to the center of lift. I am, as Kamikuza suggested, going to take out my tools next time and do the adjustments in increments. I would be doing that now but there is an anvil cloud over...

Mast position - explain like I am 5

I am struggling to learn to foil behind a boat. I struggle to learn anything so this is expected. I am improving but it is just a bit slower than continental drift. The instructions that came with the board state that beginners should position the mast as far back as possible. Being a good little ne...
