Re: Can I use a single control bar for all my kites?

I have never felt any difference on any of my different kites, whether I use a high Y (really high 7-10 meter up) or a low one at the bar, meaning the difference can be really small or not present in reality. Are we talking about LEIs only here? Try to fly a high aspect foil kite like a Sonic with ...

Re: Can I use a single control bar for all my kites?

Line length doesn't change kite turning speed but only the wind window. Shorter lines give a more direct feeling though, especially with the smaller kites. I personally fly 22m on 9m and 7m kites and 20m on 5m. So, yeah... 23m + 3m extension would have been the wiser choice in my opinion. Your 6m an...

Re: Duotone Mono 2019

Yeah Toby but you do Big Air which is a whole different story. You WANT to be overpowered on full purpose to go big. But this logic for sure doesn't apply to Foiling/Freeriding. I am just annoyed by the whole marketing shit going on like "we reinvented and redesigned the kite from scratch so it MUST...

Re: Duotone Mono 2019

This season the whole concept has been questioned and all sizes have been completely redesigned by Ken Winner. Low end and especially high end have significantly been improved "Significantly improved"... Let's see: 2018: 9m 15 - 30 (∆ 15) 12m 11 - 22 (∆ 11) 2019 9m 16-30 (∆ 14) 11m 14-25 (∆ 11) 13m...

Are we talking 2 years/10 months of holiday/long weekend kiting or 3-4 times a week?
In my case we are talking about 2 years long weekend and holiday kiting. I am not even using the bar excessively which makes it even worse.

Re: Duotone 2020 bar with new lines?

The problem though is not the clickbar or the lower lines but the flying lines. It's also a problem on the Trust Bar. After 2 years, these lines show much more wear than other lines/bars. I am done with Duotone/North lines. I am replacing mine now with lines from Liros.

Re: any flutter using any of the ozone alpha 1 strut kites

There is no Mono LEI that does not flutter. Gusty situations will make it worse.

+1 for what Tomtom said. New freeride foils are just too good to be ignored and are superior in almost every aspect in that lower wind range.

PS Brace yourself, PMU incoming.

Re: Firewire Evo Helium tech - does it truly flex?

Not sure if that helps, but I have the Firewire Vader Helium and it does flex. No problem with delam. If that is the case, it is probably a production issue with that board only or it was exposed to heat for too long.
