Re: 13m Kites..... why so few?

It became a trend because a 3m difference in the quiver makes sense for most people as they want to have as few kites (7,9,12) as possible to cover a decent wind range and to allow them to switch comfortably between kites when the wind picks up or drops. Also, when you go with a 13, you will likely ...

2020 Clickbar is exactly the same from 2019?

https://www.duotonesports.com/kiteboard ... click-bar/
Nope. The Iron heart is red in 2020 while in 2019 it was orange.

PS Not kidding.

Re: Duotone 2020

The red deposer line that passes through the bar is also prone to wear. That is specific to the click bar and you will have to monitor it and replace at some point. I've switched to sk99 lines and they don't show any of the issues I had with the original lines. Interesting. Did you even replace the...

Re: Duotone 2020

Compared to everybody else, doodle-shoondel has done way too much on social media to picture them selves as a needy bitch who's trying too hard... All while putting exactly zero effort in making their very unattractively-named proposition any more interesting for end buyers. IMHO the inertia of hav...

Re: Duotone 2020

Many people don't even know who duotone is and are still going in the store saying they want a north kite. The approach duotone took to try and stay ahead is quite obvious. That probably only applies to a few kiters who are rather detached from the community or industry. I believe that most kiters ...

Re: Duotone 2020

So, all the gear is already on test events and you can see everything on social media but what I don't understand is why they are not releasing everything on their website at the same time? I like the new product video from the rebel and am happy that they went away from the robot talking all the t...

Re: The Duotone Wing

Eventually the motivation is always money. However, I do not believe that Duotone or any other company is treating this product seriously. It basically is meant to fill a potential gap in their product portfolio before this gap is even there. It's a race for getting a piece of the cake right now, al...

Re: smooth landing with hydrofoil.

Thx Tipi for this interesting thread. This is exactly what I am working on. - relaunch hardly your kite to have a good horizontal traction to avoid foil's cavitation I didn't get that what you mean here. There is only cavitation if you try to pull the foil out of the water instead of driving it in a...

Re: Beginner with ultra long lines - intervene or not?

indirect??? I am on an 18m kite with 32 m lines...way safer than 25m ! Heavy on bar, slow bar setting and slow setting on kite...indirect as can be...pulling 2500+ tricks....exactly of this being "indirect". A kite that turns fast is harder to control...one little pull and the loop starts! Of cours...
