Re: Duotone Concept Blue

A lot of negative feedback in the comments above, jeez  . Carbon emissions and consequential global warming for some people still seems to be a controversial topic - OK, harder to understand and see for yourself I guess. But as kiter you should be aware of the disgusting amount of plastic thr...

Re: Duotone Rebel SLS 2024

They improved the Rebel drastically over the past few years. Newer models have way lower bar pressure and do not pull like a truck anymore, no comparison to 2019.

maybe it's easier to wrap trust bar with EVA foam since it doesn't have that "power lever" that splits the grip longitudinally
I think your guess is correct. Btw I have also seen a lot of trust bars where the grip went off after a while so buying a trust bar is not a solution either.

Very impressive.

Still, there is nothing more annoying than all that vertical recording these days. Yeah, yeah, I know... because of smartphone yada yada.

Re: Clickbar 2023 grip quality

the problem with bar grip is that, afaik, no kite brand offers this part as a replacement I agree. This is the problem. If they would just offer the EVA foam bar grip for an affordable pricetag, it wouldn´t be a problem. The only option is to buy a plain bar as spare part which is 200€ at Duotone. ...

Re: Minimum buy-in: $2500

You need a car to get to the beach. That's probably like $50k Exactly. I am always puzzled by those discussions about allegedly expensive consumer products. The same people that are shouting that something is "too expensive" seem to be the same people that own a 50K SUV which is being parked in som...

Re: Minimum buy-in: $2500

ok.... and these "minimum buy-in amounts" should tell us what exactly? What's the question or statement here? That watersports are only for the rich or what exactly? Or that watersports are too expensive in general? I think that just comparing buy-in is rather shortsighted and you cannot make a stat...

Re: Do wind parks effect winds?

Talking about "wind obstacles". the other day I talked to some windsurfer and at that point he didn´t know I am a kiter. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he said: "The wind at this spot is so bad because of all the kiters. I can always feel it in my sail when there are kiters upwind of me and there are so ...

Re: How airlines treat our surf bags

Often you waive this liability when you check sports equipment or oversized baggage. Source and examples? The montreal convention is not just some guideline. It is a legally binding international treaty that has the force of law in the countries that have ratified and implemented it (about 130 coun...
