Re: New , (used) Panish A-15

Have you flown it yet, Bille? My Pansh Aurora II never required modifications. It flew fine out of the bag. Maybe yours will, too?

Re: Beginner Advice

Buy a 3 meter trainer kite and learn to fly it without looking at it ("by feel"). Get comfortable flying it at the edge of the wind window, looping it, landing it to a partner on the edge of the window, etc. Watch online videos to learn the terminology (wind window, edge of the window, power zone, 1...

Re: LE stitching stretches / is widening. Need to worry?

So I went to my local shop but new stitching would be more then they indicated, 65 euro. And they found another worn spot on my LE Dacron and advised to stitch a reinforcement on that also for another 65 euro. I decide that 130 euro is to much for an old kite that probably needs another repair next...

Re: New Pansh vs used Ozone / Flysurfer

FLandOBX, ... by quality, do you mean more fun to fly and better performing or longer lasting and easier to resell? Both. If you put a Pansh kite beside a Flysurfer, you can see and feel the difference in quality by a quick inspection. FS has better quality materials and appears to be a better and ...

Re: New Pansh vs used Ozone / Flysurfer

I own a Pansh Aurora 2, a FS Speed 4 Lotus, and a FS Soul. I bought the Pansh new. Both Flysurfers were pre-owned. All are good kites. I have not made any modifications to any of these kites. My Soul gets the most use for foilboarding. It is probably the best kite of the three. But if you are highly...

Very exciting race. Great video footage with the head-cams mixed with aerials. :thumb:

Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

Hey, Aleks. Thanks for creating and sharing these apps. I'll try the speed app on my Garmin Forerunner 935. I usually don't wear my watch when I kiteboard. I'm wary of potential damage from high impact crashes and repeated exposure to salt water. Have you (or others) had either of these problems kit...

Re: Moses fuselage to mast screws keeps coming loose

so the working hypothesis is that the wedge interface of the mast to fuselage isn't completely flush once you slide it on, and that additional force is required to "seat" the two pieces together, and then you can tighten the screws properly? Just odd that I would think the screws themselves would b...

Re: LE stitching stretches / is widening. Need to worry?

I had a couple of ozone catalysts about 9-10 years ago. Same problem. I hand-stitched the seam to reinforce it. It's simple and effective. If you stitch, use UV resistant thread and be careful not to stick the bladder with your needle (best to remove the bladder before sewing).

Re: Do you step off gracefully?

Good topic. I confess that I'm still trying to sort all of this out in my own riding. When I ride to the shallows and hop off the board, I'm always worried about where the foil will go. I feel like there is a risk not only of my feet landing on a sharp rock or shell, but also of the foil rearing its...
