.. Quite curious about observations from a local. Are there spots and times less impacted by seaweed? Hey, Grigory. I can't offer much help. I usually foil in the area around Canadian Hole and Kite Point. There, when the grass gets bad, north wind is often doable because the elbow of land just nort...
Of course, never toss your pump onto the beach without pushing the pump shaft all the way in. I've got a buddy who tosses his pump around with the shaft fully extended....it's just a sand magnet, especially when freshly lubed. Won't last long with sand on the shaft.
....I hope I already pointed out, I have zero real world experience with this, and I am just using my imagination.... I have even less experience.....and probably less imagination.....but isn't the glide (a la Chasta) a function of riding the thermals? In other words, once you're airborne, don't yo...
To answer your question: YES. Where I kite and wing mostly there are lots of sharks. The grass flats are full of them. For a while I was going to put shark stickers on my TT and SB for all the times I've hit them in shallow water. Body dragging = trolling for sharks. My son had a T shirt that said ...

If it depends on conditions let's assume flat to slightly choppy water, winds between 15 to 20 knots, not ...
I once tethered to a medium sized tree on the edge of the beach to land. I brought the kite down on one end at the edge of the window in the center of the beach. All good. As I walked up lines to the kite, a gust hit the kite and the bottom lines snagged a protruding root. The kite re-launched and ...
Kites don't always behave the way we'd expect in huge squally wind. I once tethered to a medium sized tree on the edge of the beach to land. I brought the kite down on one end at the edge of the window in the center of the beach. All good. As I walked up lines to the kite, a gust hit the kite and th...
I'm 78 kg. For the past year, I've been using 7 m and 9 m Contra one-struts for hydrofoiling. Great kites. For lighter winds, I use a FS Soul ten meter. For stronger winds, I have a 5-strut 5 m (not used very often), or I switch to TT. I agree that, at your weight, you'll be covered 90% of the time ...
