Re: Wingsurf/wingfoil, foilwing size

coming from pure kite background, I've just had my first session under the wing. 120l slingshot windfoil board with a spaceskate 65 attached. Can certainly feel the potential but will need to give my knees a rest.. Need to get my axis 100 underneath it but don't have tuttle connecter for it. Looking...

Re: Small pocket board - looking for recommendation/advice

I'm riding the 94 axis tray, it is a delight. very light, lovely deck pad. Have ridden 110 and 125 too. Sweet boards did the width of the 125 bother you? No, the width and flat rear rocker gives a lot of support when touching down or not starting of directly onto the foil. The nose rocker certainly...

Re: Surf/wave wing thickness and NACA profiles

took my thicker axis wing out again today, its fine for roll tacks, 360s, however the timing is very different to my smaller faster wings. Those wings look sick, nice work.

Re: Surf/wave wing thickness and NACA profiles

I was out on my Axis 680 surf wing today in about 30/35knots with a 4m Uno here on Isla Holbox. Its the first wing that I've used that allowed me to easily match the wave speed and really feel and ride the waves whilst kiting. The uno helped to as it just drifted along with me. The 680 has quite a t...

Re: wake foiling

certainly a very nice feeling - Not being connected to a boat or a kite. It might even inspire me to learn to surf foil. Our boat isn't the best at kicking up a wake but it worked well enough. Area of wing I think was 1300cm2 but it caught the wake well. Will have to practice the pumping to try and ...

wake foiling

I know we're on a kite forum , but wanted to share this. I'm usually foiling with a kite but got the chance to try a big wing behind a boat the otherday. It was way easier than I thought it would be to foil the wake without a rope. Have any of you tried it and what set up are you using? We used the ...

Re: Gong Freewave

I really enjoyed foiling in Sri Lanka all summer on my 6.8. I found the bar pressure a little on the heavy side but everything else I loved about it.
Nice solid loop
Direct
Build quality on a par with big brands.
Price and customer service were phenomenal.

Re: Which small kite ?

4m Ozone Uno smallest I've flown at 100kg on an Axis freeride wind (545) it did deform a little when starting.. Need to cut down on the pork pies I guess.
Love my HK Fury Pro 6m but need it in a smaller size too.

Re: 360 - tight or wide kiteloops?

Yup I was well powered during that clip but it's one of the few that show kite and bar and foil. I was trying to keep them tighter to stay close to the go pro ;) Big / powered loops you've got to run with them and therefore radius will be bigger. Tight loops for tight 360s. I find foils with a highe...
