Re: Hydrofoil bolts

Personally..... I wouldn't like to leave those bolts on. But I have in the past ridden with only 3 bolts (when one fell off). You possibly can't use heat on the threads which would be my go to - as it looks like an inflatable board (maybe a butane soldering iron would be focussed enough) but I'd be ...

Re: Duotone defalte valve

Interestingly happened to me on a standard Evo (2022 model) recently so its not just the Dlab. I wonder if there is something that some people do differently that makes the difference? E.g. lift the leading edge - or don't lift the leading edge before flipping over. I guess the long term solution is...

Re: Flysurfer Big air kite announcement date?

Also: what will the new soul be next spring with Sonic being more of a soul in the last iteration? The soul will be 90% of the kite performance for 65% of the price. :cooltext: I'd love to try one but it only looks cheap compared to Ozone prices. That would be too good to be true.... Why on earth a...

Re: Clement Huot leaving F One / joins Harlem

It's me or jumps with harlem looks less high compared to evo/rebel/eleveight/edge ? I don't think its you. I was watching Lorenzo and Leonardo Casati training alongside Jeremy Burlando. Jeremy was going a good deal higher on his Slingshot Code than the Harlem Forces were. Noticeable from the beach....

Re: Ben's Morning Coffee

Very sorry, but this was kinda lame. But not every video can be great, no problem. I will still keep following Ben ;) I disagree. I really enjoyed it. They aren't world first tricks but it was a good spread of everything and it was all done with a little extra spice (steez). I particularly liked th...

Re: Flysurfer Sonic 4

Ahh. The low wind debate. I've documented evidence of a session I was able to ride a 9m airush ultra in 4 knots of wind according to a weather station. True story. Admittedly everyone local knows that in that particular wind direction the weather station sits in a wind shadow and is notoriously unre...

Re: kiteboarding patents

Click bar certainly used to. I think it might have several patents which is why there were only 2 major designs of the rear line trimming bar. One for B&M and the other used by Ocean Rodeo, Harlem and BWS.

Re: DT's Iron Heart VI - opinions? + can it be transplanted to 2018-2022 bars?

I can’t see any indication that untwisting on the new Trust bar is any different from the old one, looks like it still needs to be done manually. They’ve just updated the bearings a bit. I’d be surprised if they untwist automatically? The reference here was to the safety line auto untwisting. On th...

Re: 2024 Cabrinha Nitro v2 Review - vs Orbit Pro & DLAB

Which would I have? This is a very, very, very hard question. I thought about it multiple times over the last couple months. Overall, I the Orbit Pro is objectively a better kite. It boosts better, has better barfeel/feedback, more loop reliability, more floaty heli loops…blahblah…basically it’s ju...

Re: One of the many questions on used gear - 2020 Orbit

Don't want to be too negative but - the North Orbit (particularly 2020) isn't really a beginner kite because it can react in ways that will cause frustration, and nuking winds aren't particularly beginner friendly (because small mistakes can have consequences much faster in strong wind). Probably wo...
