Re: Saunton Beach death

Camber and it’s wind is utterly irrelevant I was kiting at Portland on a 9 and 12 as were approximately 20 others in 18-35 kts Portland is a damn sight closer than camber to north Devon Commenting on established facts is one thing, speculation is one step from gossip. People being killed shouldn’t ...

Re: Saunton Beach death

I was buggying on the Friday at Camber which is a fair bit further east but essentially the same weather system, a south-westerly that made its way eastward. 7m weather, it was gusting but nothing too exciting. Saturday if I remember was to be a little less wild with a more westerly wind direction. ...

Re: Genetrix kite

He mentioned in an email that there will be no production of the Hydra in 2018. Instead his company is working on something revolutionary! I wish him great success for the future and hope to see the Hydra back in production. Great kite, a revolution in its own right.

The best type of kite i found is an LEI as they hold their shape. Bigger = heavier though. A 13m gave me a good balance between power an...

He wanted the assistant that was launching him to put the kite down...( i'm assuming that he saw something wrong with the lines )
The helper did not hear or recognize the command and just sent the kite up

Very sad
That's terrible!

Re: GoPro Fusion 360 on kite lines?

Has anyone seen/tried mouting a GoPro Fusion 360 degree camera on kite lines? Any links to a video? I've seen a video of a Garmin Virb 360 from a line mount perspective posted around here. Seemed cool and the horizon level worked nicely. Just wondering why there hasn't been more Fusion videos. Most...
