Re: Kitech FRS

Overall the wind was 10-13 knots, that was rather the low range but perfect for surfing the swell . My limt to waterstart was about 8 knots with the series of loops yiu can see on the video. There were 1 or 2 mega lulls to 6-7 knots where the kite was hard to keep in the air without loops.

Re: Kitech FRS

Here is a video of my test of the frs 6m just before the covid closing-out. In french sorry https://youtu.be/8QC7PfZtAyc One of my most pleasant hydrofoil session, partly due to the kite. And despite the damage of my foil stab when coming back to the beach in a big unexpected wave againts the litles...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

In UL cloth, the bnue is quite never (or never ?) Available ...so no better differienciation possible. I had the opposite color for my ex a15 (main red anf a bit of white) . Cute but still this mixing problem (that may disappear with habits). What i like for example is to have a leading edge really ...

Re: Recoating kite fabric

I did not know it was based on Dr blade technics.
Interesting. And is it a 2k silicone curing with high temperature (while nylon is sensitive to heat) or a rtv1 that cures with hymidity ?

Re: Recoating kite fabric

Could a 2K rtv based on perroxite curing work better ?
When curring issues appear with platiniums,, it is an alternative.

But indeed, in microscopic thicknesses coatings, a solvent seems necessary.

Silicone is also quite heavy by the way (heavier than water ...)

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

Side note about the graphics of a15: I find it quite beatiful vs other brands. Even really brautiful . One weired visual effet it is that you can mix the LE and TE when you are looping a lot like on snow. Other kites have same problem like FRS for example, also beautiful with the symetric cross but ...

Re: Learning 180 after mastering 360

I am not an expret in 360's but i am in the phase where i all close them, with 3/4 still foiling up. Most of fails in light winds ... Some 180 success, i started recently. Just to illustrate whrre i am.. I noticed that when i forced myself to keep both hands on the bar and look at my direction from ...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

My kitech FRS do that - and its best turning and behaving foil kite /closed cell/ i ever flown. Soul is f.e. much much worse. Maybe it will be worth to explore why. But i dont have skills and experience to do that. But can make pictures if somebody is interested. Frs is from my test an excellent tu...

Re: Pansh Genesis and some tuning

Not tested but as a comparison with similar kite type: with my foilkite wave 3m, i can ride from about 15 knots up to 40-45 knots i would say, (with big foil wing and 60 kg). Sweet spot is 20-27 knots approx for wave style and approx 25-35 for freeride style. I would bet that with genesis, wind rang...
