Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I have been using Peak 4 for kite foiling for a few years now and I must say that it has ruined for me any other kites I have tried. The only exception is Kauper XT 13m V1 that I use for ultra low wind conditions but it only covers wind range 6-10 kn for me and I would not consider Peak 4 below 10 k...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Interesting to see that everyone preffers different lenghts for lines. It feels like with shorter lines you sacrifice a bit of bottom end but extend top end range and add some more preceise feel to how the kite flies. As long as I have a good overlap between sizes I don't mind too much as I am not v...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

What is your preffered lines lenght for 4m, 5m and 6m Peak4 kites? 6m I normally use from 10 to 14 knots and I fly it on 24m lines but I also tried it on shorter lines and preffer longer lines for some reason 5m I use from 12 to 18 knots and I fly it on 20m or 15m lines. I think I preffer it on shor...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4/5 kite sizes used

Used peak4 6m for first time out of the bag in 8-10kn and I felt it didn’t had the wingtips totally opened. Does it require any tweek or bridle check before flying? I had the same issue with wings folding on my brand new Peak4 6m. When I checked the lenght of span line ( B-Safe0 and two B-Safe1) an...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Check the length of the B-safe span line from tip to tip along the B cascade. I as well as others have had to lengthen this line from what came stock. There is a line plan with measurements available from the flysurfer website. Mine was so short it visibly kinked the wingtips a bit (worse on one si...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I have tried my Peak4 6m a few times now and not sure why but it just feels different in comparison to my 5m and 4m Peaks. It doesn't fly effortless and just feels like it struggles to generete power. I tried it with 5m back to back in approx 12 knots and could not see much difference in pull but 5m...

Re: why exactly is the flysurfer peak the best kite ever made?

It is the easiest kite to fly and to keep in the air Very reactive, fast and fun to fly when powered Direct feeling on bar I use it one handed 90% of time It can drift like no other kite, and even when it folds it takes forever before it hits water Can recover on its own if it loses traction/folds, ...

Re: Gong Strutless V4 review

That is pretty discouraging to hear, but I fear I will be agreeing with you once I get some time on this thing. Currently I am using my 14m Airush DNA or 9m Lithium to foil. The 9m is much better since it responds to inputs so quickly, but at 220 lbs it just doesn’t have enough ummphh to get me sta...

Re: foil kite for 8-12 knots again

I have now decided I will be getting a P4 6m to be used on 9-12 knots days. I am not too much concerned about foiling in < 9 knots as for my riding style it would be too boring anyway so I can try using my Chrono 11m on these rare occasions if I become desperate. I will also try to livened up Chrono...

Re: foil kite for 8-12 knots again

I didn’t know they added P4 6m to the lineup so for now this is my first choice for my next LW kite as I am delighted with P4 5m and 4m in general. So I am stoked with this find about P4 6m being available. I will also try shortening lines on my Chrono 11m to try livened it up a bit, I am not concer...
