Re: Peter Lynn Introduces The Aero - Hydrofoil Race Kite

What about the bar? I use a 55cm on the 14 and 60cm on the 17.

Re: Gybes

Thanks for sharing. I'm doing more and more gybes foiling last weeks. For me it helps giving my board a little push with my backfoot just before the footswitch. It gives the board little extra speed and extra lift for few seconds.

Magma Barracuda

It is about time the world of KBHF gets to know the Magma Barracuda. I myself have 9 or 10 months experience on riding an intermediate Magmafoil. I discovered the possibilities of freeriding the foil (jumps, rotations etc) and really want to participate in foilraces soon. Upwind, downwind, nail most...

Re: Suicide jibes, someone?

Without a kiteloop it isn't a suicide jibe... The kite floating without backline tension delivers a really wide turn full speed. Ideal in races yes to go downwind fast.

With a LEI and KBHF you usually do the downloop in a gybe too to remain constant tension on the lines.

Tried it on a KBHF?

Re: Suicide jibes, someone?

Thanks for your reply (it's not my video). I know it's possible in a buggy, cause I've been doing this for years in every windstrength. There should be tension on the frontlines during the whole turn and absolutely no tension on the steering lines during the 'floatingphase' of the kite. Gusts make i...

Suicide jibes, someone?

A few years back I learned the fastest way to change directions on a downwind reach in buggyracing: the suicide jibe. During a part of the turn the kite is actually floating behind you heading into the new direction, catching up with the speed of the vehicle. Any of you out there on a foilkite can d...
