Re: Where Should I Move To Retire & Kite?

Sal, Cape Verde Dirt cheap flats, 100m from beach. Cheap flights (from europe) Most steady winds in the world. Never felt anything close. Flat water and waves. Pretty good surf, both for kids and advanced. Nice sun-bathing beach. Everything within 10minutes taxi. Nice locals. Downside. Not so good m...

Re: No endless summer - drysuit or wetsuit for foiling?

I had to stop using drysuit when started hydrofoiling. The wrist seals leaked water when doing wipeouts. Never had that problem with twintip. I was also a little afraid of cuts from the wing, I don't know if how high the risc is. I can really recommend using a "Mystic Wind Barrier" with a wetsuit. M...

Re: Secondary fin recommendation for BRM Paipo

I use twin tip fins.

Works much better, the board gets a little bit more loose.

Re: How important is a trim strap / cleat?

I'm a cloud rider. Just bought a R1V2, I would say you need a trim strap, it's nothing like a cloud.

It might be doable, but you will struggle so much more.

Re: Strutless Kites Cloud vs. Gong

I wouldn't say it's fair to compare with the C1.

C5 and D0 are almost a different kites. It depowers much much better, and the throw is very short.

I haven't ridden the gong yet. They feel a bit heavier compared to cloud but probably more durable.

Review for alpinefoil surfboard (CX-V6 S Wave)?

Hi, Anyone that have tried Alpinefoil surfboard (CX-V6 S Wave) as a kite surfboard in waves? I havn't found any review online. It's quite expensive, so I would like to hear from someone who actually tried it before buying. http://www.alpinefoil.com/pages-hydrofoil-kite-foil/board/foilboard-alpinefoi...

Re: how to pitch a new trim to my naish torch ...

I've done it, just unscrew one screw under the plastic cover.

A nightmare to get the screw back into position, at least it was for me. Would not recommend doing it on the beach :-)

Re: Need advice from Naish Torch users

12m & 8m for unhooked freestyle is too much gap....for freedride it is ok.... Maybe you're right. But this is what I use my Torches for /unhooked/. Just checked and their team riders most favorite is the 10. Probably I am looking for an excuse ... :) Only thing that bothers me is the worse low end ...
