Right now spring break is going on and south beach is packed with people. It is better to go over to Key biscayne. If you are going to ride in sobe, ride really early and stay well away from any lifeguard stand.

They closed windsofcabarete.com and I am thinking about heading down on the 6th for a couple of days depending on the wind.

Any site to check the forecasted winds in Cabarete would help!!!

i used to get lots of spray in my eyes and my eyes would be red at the end of the day. try using barz goggles. They have a gasket that doesn't let the spray in. They also don't fog up. Now if I don't have them when I kite, it drives me crazy. Plus I ride mostly in Miami and Puerto Rico where the sun...

Practice on the beach underpowered without a leash when there is no one downwind of you. This gives you a feel of the motion.
It will then be much easier on the water.
