Re: Ocean Rodeo Roam feedback wanted

I got the 9.5 and 7m. At 210 lbs I use the 9.5 fro. 18 to 23 kts in the surf and up to 25 when going for airs. It boosts ok when ur lit but not much other than that. Has good hang time. 7m I havent found the top end but fine in cold upper 30kt gusts. Decent upwind performance for a surf Kite. Top of...

Re: Twintip Advice for Heavy Rider

as some others have suggested, I would think venturing into looking at surfboards would be a good option for your size and future ocean plans. Surfboards have amazing range second only to foils on water and become very fun once you've past the learning curve of transitions and changing your feet. th...

Re: New Big Air / Airstyle Board...with 5th fin ... thoughts please

personally i prefer smaller fins for a clean release from the water when going big. i feel like bigger or more fins is just extra drag that i dont need for boosting and can cause some unwanted rotation. a good concave or channeling will be much better for tracking and much faster to get up to speed ...

Re: Ozone Edge V9 vs OR flite vs Core XR5

all 3 are primo and have the stats for what you want to do. only way ull know what u want is to fly them. the xr and edge are very similar, differences being that the xr5 sits a little deeper then the edge does in the window but can handle more wind but less low end. flite rides almost to the edge a...

Re: Controlling Height

you want to think more about shifting your weight forward and back then just thinking about applying more front or back foot pressure. by moving your body forward you can control the pressure much more gently and gradually. other then that just keep your kite high which helps making it much easier t...

Re: Disadvantages Wave-Kites

surf kite will drift well but wont have good upwind. has a lot of depower and tighter pivotal turning but not great jumping capabilities. surf kites sit deeper to the window where freeride rides closer to the edge. both should relaunch great there are many types of surf kites that sacrifice one of t...

Re: Is the twintip a dying breed?

You can't do as much on a foil. And with that big razor blade on the bottom it makes it more dangerous. And it doesn't look as cool. Have you ever seen a foiler doing any tricks besides jumping that looks smooth? You really can't with that big stick hanging off the bottom of your board. And to pay ...

Re: Impressive Woo jump leader

i find the woos are pretty accurate or atleast in the ballpark of your jump. theres a few landmarks is some spots i kite where if i get eye level with them i know how high i am and was represented fairly accurately when going through my jumps. only time ive had crazy reads is when i foil with the wo...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Infinite Bar - any reviews?

It's a sweet very basic inexpensive bar with an infinite throw. I love using it for foiling and surfing. The double line safety is one of the most consistenty reliable ones I've used for restarting after popping the release without having any issues with lines getting inverted or tangled.
