Re: Is a "Concave hull" and "Monoconcave" on the rails or on the bottom of the board?

The Slingshod Glide has "CONCAVE HULL - Provides smooth tracking and effortless upwind performance. This added grip provides traction for riding with speed and power, yet is easy to manage for all ability levels." Duotone Ultraspike explains: "MONO CONCAVE - A fast and easy to ride Bottom Concept. ...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

No, the argument that China has (economic) catching up to do seems completely ridiculous to me as well. CO2 emissions should be reduced globally but that should not stop us from acting I think, even without China participating, which they don't do, at least not enough. I wouldn't argue against Afric...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

emissions per capita stats give a different perspective Yes, but it's a pretty bad picture.. China/"the East" is adding per capita, "the West" is decreasing per capita. Still, believing in "man made global warming" and pollution in general being a bad thing, which I do, I wouldn't argue against red...

Re: Kite Strut Bladder Replacement

I would never ever use this technique. I have to guess that this guy only repairs bladders by replacing them, he's not pinching pennies by repairing it every time, resticking valves, patching holes, he just throws in a new strut every time. The reason I never use powder to insert a strut is that mi...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Nobody is concerned about China. Maybe the problem is the Amazon forest and Brazil with 1.3% of world's emissions All-the-Worlds-Carbon-Emissions.jpg Nobody is concerned with China ??? We seem to all be immobilized because of China. We can't do very much against rising CO2 emissions in the US/Europ...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

I think that, who's concerned about fossil fuels use and dependency is not considering that it's not possible to change, the power matrix in a global scale, all of a sudden, without consequences that can be even worst than the climate change itself. Fossil fuel is still the cheapest and more abunda...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

I’m not sure. I do believe that well functioning countries will allow their “mango tree” to ripen. And many of the most technological advanced countries in the world like Japan, Germany and now China have enormous interest both economically and in terms of energy security not to be reliant on impor...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

I think the answer is that in the end most people are selfish and prefer to "stick their heads in the sand" or whatever the expression is and refuse to do something until somebody else does. It's almost too crazy to believe but the examples are everywhere. People are weak... They don't want t...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Anything that is subsidized means taking "money" from something else. In this case, if what you are saying is correct, Sweden is willingly paying more than they should for energy transferring that wealth to Norway. One things is things that are subsidized within a country. In Norway there are lower...
