Boosting with foil is as safe as jumping with a sword at a trampoline park. Be it wingfoil or kitefoil - hell to the no and I won’t be anywhere near. I have a 9m and a twintip for boosting.
Just wrong. No more dangerous than twin tip boosting and I would suggest its actually more gentle.

Re: Best (strongest) Hydrofoil for Boosting

It sounds like the 101 is stronger than the 111. I haven't seen a 101 break. The 101 is not as stiff , it could be the flex takes more load away from the fuselage connection point of the mast However the 111 rides significantly better due to the stiffness. I would debate that the 111 is stiffer tha...

Re: Best (strongest) Hydrofoil for Boosting

Regular booster at 15-16m (1000's of boosts) on standard Moses 101 and 679 637 wings. Never an issue. I did break my original 101 mast 3 years ago but I know it was due to prior hard impact of debris on the leading edge.

Carbon wing and mast repairs - materials - Short Survey

Hey all, been riding carbon in rocky locations for years now (also have the wife on carbon) and a few times a year have repairs to do. Some scrapes that are easily taken care of with glazing compound but when you get a deeper gouge you have to go with more material. Thickened west system is great an...

Exactly my method. That combined with a "pinch" of lines while I wrap them to keep them oriented "left, centers, right" as much as possible. Rarely an issue.

Re: how to fix Sabfoil/Moses mast screws from coming loose?

A warning and disagree on not using the grease Moses includes. Stainless to stainless fasteners are subject to galling. Galling can absolutely seize the fastener inside the mast. I have seen this numerous times and really cranking on the fastener really increases the risk of this. You do not need to...

Re: Used Moses masts

... I think your load and pop would actually be better on a 101 due to the fact that the additional 10cm makes a big difference in stiffness (detrimental). The reason I thought the 111 might be better was a longer lift duration during the "wing send" because the wings would be in the water longer. ...

Re: Used Moses masts

Which mast did you buy..Interested to know since I'm using Moses masts for jumping.. First one was the 101 Vorace....had 1000's of boosts on it. New one is also a 101 just plain Moses branded. Have you compared the 101 vs 111 mast for boosting? I'm on the 111 and considering going to the 101 for sh...

Re: Used Moses masts

Ventilating masts make all sorts of trouble...if air gets sucked down then you get nasty releases that feel like wings letting go. I ride and boost on race wings and when my mast is out of optimal surface condition it causes nasty releases at speed loading up for boosts...which is a very disconcert...
