Kiting in Orkneys

Ok few pictures here and there but generally I did not come across any big review/movie about kiting in most north eastern part of UK. Any opinions spot advice - what to do greatly appreciated. I will be there next week.

Re: can I screw boots to any board ?

Boots are slingy verdicts and they fit the holes. I just need to get longer screws and probably some washers to pin them down firmly.

can I screw boots to any board ?

I broke my slingy board on landing on the stone of the beach. I have my old 555 board that I used when I was first learning in the attic. Can I screw boots to it ? Obvious answer is no - ripped inserts, but if I be gentle - no big air etc nothing aggressive - would it still be no or it can work ?
