Not depowering the kite when on land
The above!!

Its sad the other kiters just stood there and didn't offer any assistance, if someone is coming into the beach and look like they might want a land, I will be looking to land them without being asked...

Hope you get well soon :thumb:

Re: question for ex-Wainman kite riders

Loved the Wainman, especially the smoke.. for me the boss didnt perform so well but they were a great upgrade at the time from Flexifoil atoms! I had the Airush Wave 2014 but it wasn't quite the same feeling (although still a do it all kite, well the v1 certainly was), but I recently changed to the A...

Re: Airush - Any recommendations about the products?

Never had an Airush board but love the kites. Have had Naish, Flexifoil and Wainman in the past but moved to Airush Varial x, then went to Waves and now on Lithium V11... great for free-ride, and foiling, a great all rounder. Never had any issues with the bar and lines, strong construction and great...

Re: Beginner question about kite sizes

I think it will really depend on the average wind strength where you intend to kite, talk to some of the locals etc and see what the common sizes are....

If the wind is often around 18-20knots you will need the 13, but if the wind is often over 20-25 an 11 might be better.

...Just keep body drag in the same direction as fall for 10 seconds, then turn another direction.
I do this, count 10 seconds, turn, count 10 seconds back. You should be upwind of the board by then and should see it.

I plan to go out only in my local area with flat water conditions, and lighter winds - 10-18 knots.
So are you saying this is the average wind in your local area, or just the days when you will try?

The Wainman smoke was a really awesome kite, loved it... the Boss not so good in my opinion.

Hoping to see some interesting products.

Re: Kevin Langeree leaving Naish...

With all their years experience (R&D earned at other kite brands) you would think they would be able to produce the kites without the cost of R&D... therefore maybe cheaper than other brands?

It seems the bar is licensed from elsewhere?

Can of worms opened maybe..

You know that WMFG don't actually make pumps. They buy them from the same factory that every other pump comes out of.

Are we sure WMFG didn't license their pumps to the other brands?? I thought all pumps were garbage before they cam along.. it could be coincidence though
