Re: Slingshot UFO

So glad to hear SS has a viable and formidable option to what that arrogant jerk at Board Riding Maui (Clouds) offers. Go Slingshot! Sounds like you have a Clash of personalities. I know many many foilers that love their Cloud kites and have had nothing bad to say about the owner of Cloud BRM kites...

OR has a reputation of excellent customer service. It's so nice of them to accept a downpayment. I wonder if they'd consider direct deposit too?

Re: Introducing the World's Lightest and Strongest Kites - Aluula

Agreed but I think this strategy will backfire on them. How about a 25% premium for the new Aluula kites? you make it sound like the price of a kite is completely arbitrary. why not just sell it for $5.00! i suspect if they charged only a 25% premium, they'd lose money on each kite, or not make eno...

I just had to jump in after reading the previous post. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, sure, but that is not an ugly duckling. I think the color scheme is elegant, bordering on sophisticated and a breath of of fresh air. I love it.
I sincerely like it that you like it!

Re: Introducing the World's Lightest and Strongest Kites - Aluula

Who cares about prices. This is a limit on their side. Probably intentionally as they can’t serve the potential demand anyway. It’s the price of innovation. If you don’t want to pay it - fine - just don’t buy it. I certainly will not but I really don’t care what price tag they put on it. Agreed but...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

The plastic does look very grainy and typical of 3-D printed plastics. A harder more smooth plastic would seem like a good idea.

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

I got a chance to ride both the 14.5 Flite Black and a prototype 9.5 Prodigy (don't know if it will be "Black" also, but the LE was gold Aluula). I'm not certain where the claim originated for more power per size, but I can't really comment on that. I'd have had to flown a non-Aluula back to back w...

200lbs using a 149cm Slingshot Glide and Rally GT 12m it's a beautiful thing!

Anyone else with SS Glide experience? Is this a good lightwind board? I guess I ask because the shape is so basic and straight. It's cool but almost too simple and pure to be true.

Re: Back into mutant riding after 6 months of foiling

You shouldn't need to go toeside, but you can. A perfect mutant will give you a perfect platform for both riding out and launching as well as riding back in on the waves... So, one side is optimal for launching (jumping) and landing, the other for riding waves. Without jibing/switching sides. And w...
