Yet not one lawsuit yet against the roll leash.maker. it's safe, now move on.
The "reel" leash is the safest option for being leashed. But it still results in verifiable incidents where the leash has caused injuries and out of control situations.
Name one you know first hand. One is enough.

Some people are lazy. Sure it is much easier to get your board back with a leash. That’s his argument for using it.
I showed him the Go Joe from Ocean Rodeo as alternative...let’s see if he will get one...
By the same logic, people who wear PFD are also lazy, lol.

Re: Zeeko screws to secure rear stabilizer and fin keep loosening

Yes my machinist friend put in a pair of stainless insert for me on the zeeko fin, snug and tight, now I don't worry about it coming off They are used only for metal to metal applications. I would need to bond the metal to the fin material (?G10) if I choose to permanently fasten it. Acrylic glue? R...

Re: Zeeko screws to secure rear stabilizer and fin keep loosening

The G10 fin's hole will become loose after some use. Put in metal tab is the only secured fix. Zeeko and infact all fin makers just being cheap not using metal tabs

Re: Which kite is the easiest to re-lunch at low winds?

My next LEI for hydrofoiling will be a 1 strut. Strutless is just not my cup of tea. I seriously doubt you can easily relaunch a Cloud after the canopy is filled with water, unless the wind is super strong. This sounds amazing! yesterday i tried to follow your instructions at about 8-10 knots in cho...

Re: Which kite is the easiest to re-lunch at low winds?

I seriously doubt you can easily relaunch a Cloud after the canopy is filled with water, unless the wind is super strong. When a cloud gets water on the canopy or simply messed up in some other way, I pull in a couple meters of one rear line. When that tip becomes the most upwind part of the kite, w...

Re: Which kite is the easiest to re-lunch at low winds?

True but the reason I got a Cloud 13.5 was to go out in super light wind, and it's super super light wind when my Cloud can't stay in the air. So maybe it's my skills, but I find it really difficult to relaunch when the wind is just marginal, and worse than a struted kite that will at least drift, m...

Re: Which kite is the easiest to re-lunch at low winds?

Thanks for sharing, but I won't characterize this as easy relaunch. Slingshot Rally is easy, no need for all these maneuvers. stopping a kite's one wingtip from stalling the whole kite onto its back is a real issue with super light wind relaunch and has everything to do with early recognition and ap...
