Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

The rings seem weird, but they are on loops, so you can use the loop or use the ring as a knot. Once, one of my friends offered me his ozone Reo, but everything was backwards compared to the bar I normally use. So, it is a pretty good universal solution. If it's flapping a lot, you're overpowered. ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

I have now gone out in 10 to 15 knots and the Peak 4 8m works really well. No slack lining riding straight toward the kite. Pretty impressive. I think 27m lines is too long.

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

Based on Peter's enthusiasm I went and bought an 8m. I decided to use a Cloud CCS bar and fortunately had some pigtails in my car for what I thought were rather peculiar ring things (no judgement, I have never seen anything like it). As I normally ride Clouds when foiling I would probably launch an ...

Re: How many kites...

Hummm I have 14 kites in 3 quivers from 5m to 22m. One quiver of foil kites mostly for the winter, one quiver of 3 single struts for foiling and one quiver of freeride kites for twintip boosting... I know it's a disease.. but my kites are getting old even though they are all in top shape and I'd ra...

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

I am kite foiling on a 2000cm2 foil and a 440 stab with the long fuselage (light wind rig). I swapped in an ultra short fuselage and 400 stab and it was a fantastic improvement. Everything went ZING. Stabless was also a lot of fun on the 2000cm2 foil. Only took me about ten minutes to get steady. An...

Re: Wingfoiling not foiling?

I made the same comment as you Peter about not being able to stay upwind. Gunnar said I was wrong and he was correct. I just needed time on the board with the wing to find an appropriate stance and position for the wing. I wing at an onshore location, and if the lake swell is sufficiently large, it ...

Re: The Duotone Wing

Quite a contrast to the V1 Naish wing that was a one-size-fits-all floppy noodle....The sport/technology is progressing quickly :D Wouldn't some deformation be desirable? A flexible wing should give a bigger wind range and allow the wind to spill out in gusts. Windsurfing sails work this way. Winds...
