Re: Too many mistakes to list

Lucky not to have smashed yourself badly when you looped it. You had a very good day.

Re: Predictions for Ram Airs in 2021

How do Peak4's fit into this argument? They are not RAM air kites, but share most of the "advised" limitations.

Not discounting his ability or guts in what he just attempted but was the wing providing any push or was he just surfing and using it for random flight?

Re: 3 or 5 strut for bigger riders

What type of conditions do you guys ride in, Here in the Uk is mostly gusty on strong days. My heights can vary massively and I end up looking for stronger gusts to boost on . Winter wind comes across mainland Aus and is gusty as... but it is cold and powerful. Great boosting winds. Summer wind com...

Re: 3 or 5 strut for bigger riders

The additional struts strengthen the frame of the kite better, and fuller figured individuals need that. The shape gives you different behaviours........... .....I think struts matter more than shape if you are boosting for a heavy rider. Are you saying kite size does not just scale with weight??? ...

Re: 3 or 5 strut for bigger riders

Why do anyone make kites with 5 struts? Duotone Rebel is a cracking for boosting and hang time. North Dyno was as well. Cabrinha Switchblade was good. I was struggling to get over 5m and a friend recommended a Rebel. First day I took it out I hit 6m. I then watched a tutorial on jumping and started...

Re: Wingfoil boom or handles?

Hi, I thought I would just bump this topic up to the surface to see if the current thought on handles vs boom had changed much after another season. Also I see the 2021 Cabrinha will come with longer handles you can slide your hands around on, so that's a hybrid between the two. Maybe others are do...

Re: Wingfoil versus Kitefoil?

From the beginning of the year, I have recorded about 120 sessions: 33 kite foil sessions for 375km 87 wing sessions for 1639km Most of those kite foil sessions have been 10/12 knots or less (Winging is just too much hard work in low winds, whereas kite foil is still fun). I personally am finding ki...

That's moving ! but I'd say he was overpowered and thus lost speed. You see him quickly curling downwind. Should have used a 7m to achieve over 50knts
Experts everywhere
You can see him lose his edge on a few of those runs. But that was still seriously fast.
