Re: Finally tacking beyond stoked!

Flag, My 2 largest hurdles were simply not carving far enough around into the new angle and not matching my board motion with the kite motion. For the first item, as you carve you are creating a radius and I was not allowing myself to let the radius continue on long enough to get at least close to ...

Re: Moses 790 wings

After a lot of videos and read about it, i decided to buy a 790 but my main concern right now which stabilizer should I get. This 790 will be use 90% of the time for kitefoiling in waves ( 10 to 15 knots) and 10% for surf/Sup foil. 82kg Peak4 5m² Have never done surfoil but I will try, if it's cool...

Re: Wingtip breaching on wave turns

Zeeko have a specific texture to help stop drop out when venting a wingtip. It's basically a fine grid pattern etched into the wing surface. They are also straight wings with no anhedral. My old zeeko carver wing was quite tolerant of tip vent, my current Lift 170 is also quite tolerant, but I susp...

Re: Riding unhooked tutorial

Thanks all for the detailed explenations. I am really looking forward to the next unhooked video from different angles - maybe from land would be good? How can I test, if my kite is trimmed not to backstall while completely depowered? is it possible to to start on land to unhook or in waist deep wa...

Re: Riding unhooked tutorial

First thing is to tune your kite so it doesnt backstall. Go for the smaller sizes so you get minimal pull. Wave kites or single/no struts have more drift. Hold the bar at the middle with central lines between your finger so you can have more leverage turning up and down but keep the kite low so you ...

Wingtip breaching on wave turns

Starting to get comfortable at breaching the wingtip while carving and making closed turns on a wave. I mostly rely on the kite to avoid a crash but I’ve seen people doing on foil surfing with quite some speed and power turns like they were on a wave board. Whats the secret? How hard is it possible ...

Re: Kite foiling set to die almost completely out as wing foiling takes hold

I think the next wind sport will be kite bodyboarding.

Great on deep water, shallows and even on land... 8)

Re: Kitefoil, double skin - single skin Peak/FireFly?

"Or the smallest Soul in 6 m2, is it a powerhouse that can start in maybe under 9 knots for the average weight on a surf foil? Or is it an upwind high wind kite that has less low end, but HUGE range?" Don't know.. never tried it on my surf wing & in low wind.. my Soul 6m is a great foiling kite and...
