Re: now foil kiters are saying their kites drift better

Foil kites have always drifted better for a long time now, long before wave kites were a concept. Two things come to mind though what is drift and what is better? Drift is broken into two areas. One is the ability of the kite to stay flying with no tension in the lines. The other is a kite that main...

Re: Nick Jacobsen - Another great idea

If you want to go under a bridge you need the wind to do through it. Best downwind.

Re: Gin Marabou Water Relaunchable Single Skin

Wow upwind seems good, stability is good, relaunch looks reasonable. Seems everything it could be it is, so I am excited! I think Ken Winner just wet his nappy. How could any one want a wing with giant board over this setup?

Only thing Gin needs now is a light fabric version!

Re: sea anchor!

I will give that laundry bag idea a try. Thanks. As to relaunching below 5knots in deep water. I personally can relaunch in wind I would describe as the kite will not fly in. The kite will relaunch a bit off the water then crash down, because it won't fly. Having the board does not help relaunching ...

Re: A15ME for a heavier guy

That is a tough wind range to cover for one kite. It can be done but you will be changing styles a lot in it. I guess the A15 could do it but it would come down to size. I am similar to you and for me for that wind I would use a 10m for which 12knots is pushing it and 25knots a bit, unless I want to...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

I feel foils are far superior for launch and landing than LEI. They definitely require more skill to fly and in general. I guess you need to weigh the benefits. I can actually enjoy the difficultly more. More challenge makes it less boring. In some regard I am tempted to surf with a race kite lol.

Re: The Duotone Wing

I think like all things when sales drop. There is hardly any difference in C kites since 2005 lol. Hard to have a market when the choice of years is so wide.
