Re: Good kite surf spot for beginner this weekend

Hunstanton should be on, give the shop a call and they'll give you the skinny on tides, launch spots and the like.

Re: Wanted - Carver wing a Zeeko foil

Carbon is the cocaine of kitefoiling. Just say no, G10 is your friend. That said, ride everything. There is no best kite, board nor wing only conditions and you on the day. The success of the P-Wing led to the current trend is towards big wings for learners that could support an elephant at 4kts but...

Also filming you in self mode and etc. This will come, next 10-20 years with imporovement of batteries and probably with solar battery possibility too:) And as it will costs event 3000-4000 usd you will buy it much lovely...

Re: some proper Wave foiling with a Kite

PS style and grace ... or maybe not. This photo was one of the most ridiculed "kook of the day" posts ever. A foiler emulating the classic longboard cross-step to nose ride ... if this was on a 12' longboard, it would be considered stylish. On a foil it's considered a lame circus trick. The lesson ...

Why do Foils Howl?

Please can someone who knows tell me the real reason some foils Howl? I've heard it's salt on the mast and other people have said it's because you're riding to slow but these answers sound a bit like "old wives tales". There is a lad with a new Naish foil down where I ride and that thing Howls like ...

Re: Wind range and gusts - beginner question

I'm just back from the Outer Hebridies where the wind is cold and damp which means it's dense and those wind ratings are written for sunny hot places and 75kg riders riding in shorts as opposed to a 5/3, boots and gloves. My point is they're only an indication. While kiting on Lewis I have noticed t...

Re: Straps or strapless poll

To throw in my two cents, I'd say you want to keep loose front straps for when you're learning to launch and ride downwind. Then you want to retake them off so your feet can explore the balance of the wing which will help with toe-side and touch down turns. Then when your turning on demand and ready...
