Re: Foil board deck pads

The (new) WMFG Grooved pads are good for foils. They're 3mm thick and with the groove pattern are really easy to cut to length.
I pulled the pads off a production foil I had (it had mediocre traction) and put Stubby pads on it. I put the front and back pads on then cut the middle 3 pieces to fit.

Re: Pump lube

Have to say that with white lithium grease I've never seen any seal problems, neither do I see sand inside my pump (I regularly clean the pump which also has an effective air filter). But I also have silicon grease spray so in the future I'll use that instead of white lithium grease. I cleaned my 2...

Re: St Lucia

For St Lucia, check out the Coconut Bay Resort. It's an all inclusive resort with a kite centre a short walk down the beach. The kite centre is affiliated/owned by the resort but down the beach a bit. You can bring your own gear and there's a small storage fee, or they had rentals/lessons. Kiting is...

Re: Yulex harness?

It's not Yulex, but I think this could work:

From personal experience it's an exceptional harness, but widely overlooked in the era of shell harnesses.

Re: Whats this Naish board?

This is from about year 3 Naish, or so. maybe a little older. Actually I think I had it same time as I had Gen 1 Torch. It was a pure surf shape that one of their team riders liked for kiting so they made in kite construction. The board was built in the legendary cobra factory, using super light and...

Re: Tips for travelling with kite equipment - how do you pack?

I travel 10+ times per year with tons of gear, while I've had some terrible experiences that have left me feeling completely f'd over, I feel like I've gotten it down to a pretty good process. Here's my tips. 1) know your airline's baggage policies as it relates to kite/surf. Find the area on their ...

Re: Accident at Kite Beach, Bloubergstrand, South Africa

Based on my one and only trip to CT 2 seasons ago, riding mostly at Kite Beach, I found it staggering how many intermediate riders are riding massively overpowered. I'd be lit on a 6m (admittedly on a directional) and it struck me a 9m 5line kite was the kite of choice for a lot of the riders. I kep...

Re: naish pivot 14m

I think for a big guy who wants' to ride powered up this is going to be a sick kite for you. In the context of a 14m it's pretty nimble. My friend with similar dimensions to you loves his 14m Pivot. As you note there's better light wind kites for smaller riders, foiling, etc, but for a big guys who ...

Re: New Foam Pad for my Slingshot Celeritas Surfboard

Those factory fitted pads are going to be a PITA to get off. They glued on during production in the Far East.

Six Pack Classic in Dark Blue is in stock in USA, email info@wmfg.co if you need help finding a dealer, etc.
