Re: Mast moses 101 worn graft mast - fuselage

I don't know what to say.
the new masts have a perfect wedge and you just have to place the fuselage on it and see that it fits perfectly. I saw on a fluent, and two voracious 2017-2018 that this perfection is lost.
obviously when you tighten the screws, everything stops.

Re: Mast moses 101 worn graft mast - fuselage

the tree I bought in 2018, from a friend who never jumps with hydro. I've always used it with the fuselage 647 and 590-330. I have never noticed this consumption. since last year using two fuselages 647-710 I disassemble it more often but always clean and used grease. the front screw loosens over a ...

Mast moses 101 worn graft mast - fuselage

the mast is a 2017, so out of warranty. I noticed this anomalous consumption when I removed the fuselage. I noticed that when I put it back on, the front part of the wedge (leading edge part) enters the fuselage about 1mm 1.5 mm with respect to the rear wedge (trailing edge side). remedies? advice? ...

Re: Mast repair

for the final blend in and polish use a 3000 grit round foam pad, not to be wetted! Keep this very dry and rub all scratches or dull areas untill they shine back, I do use 4000 grit round foam backed pad for this final finish, but I use these pads to maintain the leading edges on my mast and wings,...

Re: 633/91/483 whistling relief and new stab?

another question. in 633 and 683 do you sand the trailing edge from above or below? and in the stabilizer 483? Suppose to sand the high pressure side, from my understanding. So the front wing sand the bottom and the rear wing sand the top... it seems to me that you wrote the opposite of grigorib .....

Re: 633/91/483 whistling relief and new stab?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMieQ_pdsPA So I wouldn't square your TE's, I'd probably do what George is suggesting here. I would only do this if I could confirm an imperfection either visually or by touch, such an imperfection might cause a loud noise like you're experiencing. damn! I do not und...

Re: 633/91/483 whistling relief and new stab?

its most likely not the mast. I've never heard of a Moses 633 whistling... The trailing edge of wings is usually the source, but Moses wings are generally well finished on TE. My 590 wing whistled out of the box, it turned out there were a few small pinholes in the clear coat. I had to paint and sa...

Re: Moses 679

the front screw was loosened even with a new column ... But it is important that the wedge is not worn ... in those worn, when you rest the fuselage above, the fuselage has a few mm of play. obviously with tight screws it disappears completely. However, surely the wedge was worn out in an irregular ...

Re: Moses 679

I too have noticed slackening of the previous waist. I also found some play between the mast wedge and the fuselage. I tested the fuselage on a new mast and it fits perfectly (same depth of the wedge both front and rear) without any play even without screws. instead with mine the front part of the w...
