Re: Levitaz Cruizer vs Moses Onda

Hi mar menor, the Cruizer is very popular in my region, close to the manufacturer. But price to value can be an argument against, which might be better for the Onda. But I think Onda is also so popular as it is even more easy and slow. Haven't used it yet, but just check surface and profile thicknes...

Re: New aquatik single skin by Conceptair

Thanks for informing, looks good to me. Would be nice to hear more about the hybrid concept in the future. In the context of GIN Marabou and Peak4 water usability, there has also been posted this about 7 years old prototyp from flysurfer: https://i.ibb.co/cgPC1ft/Single-Double-Skin.jpg to me with th...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Horst, I’m trying to decide between a 5 and 8m and am wondering if have flown both and see an advantage of one over the other. I have a Soul 6m which I love and plan on having the Peak for a travel kite and for those spots that are tricky with wind shadows. Plus the kite just intrigues and at its p...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Got a few more visual impressions in which places a Peak4 makes foil kiting possible :D This is the part of the bay I was mainly riding in with the offshore wind situation as it was while riding, photo taken about 1/2 hour before I started (as also shown in the map last page) Front part of the pictu...

Re: (almost) tool-less foil setups

I have to say that after moving from a plate to a box, mounting the foil with just one Torx screw is a luxury I would hate to give up. The plate is in the opposite direction of tool-less. Understand this, especially if you have to dismount for transport, but on the other hand, I would never give up...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Two more impressions to share from chapter "bathing with peak4" :D First, don't be stupid like me and try to use your Peak2 bag as a harness. Even if it is its origninal manufacturers purpose (on snow with a back protector  ) and even if you have pimped it with a better climbing harness, espec...

Re: sea anchor!

@neilhapgood Never ever try to pull a dropped foil kite if it is more than 30 m distance! Not important on which lines or if on additional lines, wont work anyway ! Every existing foil kite will fill with water at least by capillarity of the sewings, the more the sewings have been loaded in the past...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Looking to pick up a 8m peak for sub 10kts foiling. Is this realistic? I’m just looking for something for when my Soul 8m can’t get me up anymore. As tomtom said, don't use the peak as biggest kite, but a high efficient close cell as the soul, IMHO doesn't make sense the other way around, especiall...

About how to find first try mono strut position

Hi ap888, as it is a common question: how much the strut on the board has to travel forward, when dismounting the stabi: This is a first try to give a general answer with your numbers as example: Your main wings root chord is 19 cm, if you have a bigger stabi with high angle of attack, take 1/3 of m...

Re: Peak for foiling

While not beeing sure if we need two "Peak" topics, for all who haven't seen the other longer topic: https://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=197&t=2401224&p=1056810#p1056810 with the last great experience riding the Peak4 in 5 m² in nearly impossible conditions drift launched in this bay, with a Levit...
