Got a huge storm coming, how to make a most of it?

I have 40-60 knots of wind coming in 4 days, its too cold to hit the water. Have a wide beach to have fun on. Quiver of 1, 3, 7, 9, 13 m2 kites. What to do? I weight 65kg.

Turning a big twintip into a kinda race board

So i was at school today and an idea hit me: what if to get a huge twintip (lets say a lightwind board) and to put raceboard strap setup on it and 3 long windsurf fins (like the ones on real raceboards). I find the only problem being bouyancy. If the board has race fins and the correct strap placeme...

Re: What would be the perfect 9m2 for me?

Mostly jumping, when its windy. Riding a bit of twintip in mushy waves. Cant be called decent surfing. Dont use a directional. When i will be riding the kite, will be the beginning of a new season. Where i ride smaller than a 7m2 will be used max 2 times a year, so maybe buy a used 5m2 one day. But ...

Re: What would be the perfect 9m2 for me?

Id say for your size and 20-30 knots you might want to consider a 8m instead of 9. Thanks for help, i will rather go with the 9 so i could later on add a 7 to my quiver. Smaller than that wouldnt be reasonable, at my local beach 40 knots is the highest it goes, its only a couple of gusts a year. Ri...

What would be the perfect 9m2 for me?

So im looking for a kite with great float and jumps, quite steady winds, a bit of drift. And to cover 20-30knots. Bodyweight is 64kg. Mostly choppy/wavy conditions. I was looking the switch nitro, does anyone have any suggestions what would be more suitable?
Cheers,
Erik

Re: What happened to Eolo/Radsails?

I have had some crazy jumps on a 3m radsails powerkite, it was blowing 30-40knots, kite at 12 it was still dragging like crazy. We got 3 guys to hold me from my harness while i tried a kiteloop, it just threw us like a bag of rocks.

Re: Teaching a really small boy

How do you measure wind? It is impossible to ride a 29er in 40kn gusting 60kn; 25kn on a 29er is a hand full and takes a VERY experienced crew of grown men, and 40kn is 3 times as much wind. We won't even discuss a 60kn gust. That would capsize a 29er without rigging. 40kn + 11yo beginner kid + bea...

Re: Teaching a really small boy

Erik, just one question: how do you measure wind? You throw around with wind strength figures that just son't seem to be right. No no no, that was me and my friend a few years back, my friend was like 65 kg and we always held eachother from the harness. I wouldn never put my 30kg brother alone on a...
