Re: front wing failure

How many times over the years have we heard of this from SS.
Kites needing new bridles, boards delaminating.
Now with foils.
Seems it’s better to rush for market share then deal with the lack of R&D latter.

Re: Wanted - Carver wing a Zeeko foil

It was the Green&White fuselage that changed to the blind screw holes at front and I believe there was a new cnc process in manufacturing. This and ZEEKO being more confident in recommending using the large wings on this fuselage, screams out that it is stronger. The proof is in the pudding, so how ...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Stick one on fuselage at mast interface.
It helps protect the powder coat and can slow water ingress.
But the water gets in anyway, but even full of water it weighs less than a SS mast.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

I moved from the Zeeko Black&White to the Std Spitfire The main difference using the Zeeko Pocket Air board was that with straps in the two inline positions I had only used the front strap and was slowly moving it back , my rear foot was always in front of rear strap. On going to Spitfire this stanc...

Re: Hydrofoiling: Why you need a short mast - Foil Fridays

I think these foil Friday videos are more a marketing tool for the shop making them. And tend to the sales side of the information highway. Maybe short masts are on sale this week? For learning a short mast helps at a very small section of the learning curve. More likely moves the problem to another...

Re: Wanted - Carver wing a Zeeko foil

The Blue&White is the first Alloy one with the Alloy wings. The Black&White was the G10 version of that.
The next White&Blue had the anhedral wing.

Re: Wanted - Carver wing a Zeeko foil

We have seagrass here in summer and it’s a pain.
But my Std wings on Spitfire seems to take maybe 5-6 strands before you feel a vibration. Any more and it slowly just sinks.
The XXLW starts to vibrate and wobble then you get dragged to a halt. There’s always about three handfuls to clear off.

Re: (almost) tool-less foil setups

Bolts only need tightening too a stretch range where the bolt have some stretch within its range of elasticity.

Over tightening just kills the elasticity and promotes both failure and loosening.
