A narrow stance dosen't give you better leverage, wider does its basic physics. Kites definitely allow for poor techniques though.

You moved the straps closer together to make it easier on your knees but did you try just changing the duck on them at the wider position? Making them more to in or out should help and give you the correct width stance. As said your not getting enough leverage now and probably trying to force it wit...

That's the start of a video I was working on but dropped and didn't use on with the sj4000. Quality isn't go pro level but it seems ok and it's taken a beating from crashes doing various things.

I haven't ridden the 2010 but I did ride an 08. The fuel is a bit of a hard c kite to learn on and will probably slow your progression more than help it.
