Re: Duotone Daytona - high performance freerace foil

“Looks like” mike’s... Hmmm In the 80s i remember seeing a pontiac fiero with a “looks like” ferrari testarossa body kit. Hope they stuck with the high modulus fabrics and left out the carbon confetti this time. I know someone who studied very carefully a Mike's Lab hydrofoil (got his hands on one)...

You can build a big beach cabana with 10 kites. 🤣
What if you have an actually old kite that cannot be used.

He's using a perfectly good kite in the video

Re: High Pressure kite by Bruno Legaignoux

fully agree with kitexpert that decreasing diameter and (dramatically) increasing pressure will only work to a point. Then flying with scuba tanks and having 100psi explosions at a busy beach won't help much our sport grow. Someone mentioned dropstitch above. I wonder if this could be an option, es...

Balls, grow big balls.
Agreed. Then you can do what the other are saying. But first you need big balls to keep on pushing.

Re: How good do you have to be to foil?

If you move from beginner twintip to surfboard and make decent progression (ride upwind, downwind, and carve comfortably) you're good to start hydrofoiling. Just a couple of lessons to get the basics, then practice practice practice. Don't expect to be doing full foiling gybes too soon though (unles...

Re: Three strut Hybrid C kites for foiling?

Does someone have some experience with unhooking on the LF Solo or Airush Ultra (or similar one-strut kite) or other options? I think it just won't be worth your time. All C-kites advertise how stiff they are. Just about all of them have 5 struts. The 3 strut hybrids are already a compromise. The p...

Just a thought...
Wouldn't it 'work' if you like a very slow ride and pick a kite several sizes smaller than you normally would?
What is the point if you have to ride with the handbrake on?

Re: 2019 Duotone Click Bar

Time and effort in the bar? ... They claimed they tested the bar for 3 years, but somehow these lines, and the fraying inside the bar itself just slipped past the QC this entire time? Same for the original V-split btw. The original V-split wear issue was a difference between manufacturing methods f...

Re: Torsional flex - now a good thing :-)

In the picture a third from the left on the heel edge there is a big deformation in shape. Same toeside a third from the right. Those deformations are very draggy in water. To deform the heelside trailing edge downward by applying more left trailing foot heel pressure than front foot pressure would...
