Anyways the OR people are claiming that crashing a 3 day old Aluula Rise in 22 winds is a hard impact and not warrantiable.
...
In 22 knots a 9m works really nicely!

Crashing a 9m in 22 knots is "not warrantiable."?

They're taking the p1ss.

Re: Light wind Kites - Comparison between Juice Dlab vs Juice vs Core XR7 LW vs Ozone Zephyr

You could skip the kite and just get a bigger board. I weigh 80kg. My regular TT is 40.5 wide (Lieuwe Shotgun) for Ozone Enduro V2/V3 7/9/12m. I have a slightly wider and longer Lieuwe Shotgun for Juice Dlab 13m. Works from 10 knots upwards and when apparent wind is increased it's a rocket ship! Ha...

These new materials must be integrated into a new design paradigm.

Nobody is doing this.

280lbs is ~127 kg.

Someone of this weight saying anything about the performance of kites is meaningless for typical kiters.

As for riding mountain bikes, 127kg typically exceeds weight limits on MTBs.

Re: Low end advise Duotone Juice 13 vs 15m

I am 83kg ready to ride. Don't know about the regular 13m Juice, but in 14-18 knots on my 13m Juice Dlab with a 136x40.5 twintip (Lieuwe Shotgun) I am well powered up. In fact, at 18 knots I get onto my 12m Ozone Enduro.

Re: Ozone Alpha V2 - any news yet?

I now have a Duotone Juice Dlab 13m (Aluula) which works very well on a twintip. No pulleys, a more compact bridle, and a high aspect kite which flies towards the front of the window. :o I know there are some good Duotone kites, but I never imagined that a Juice could be better than an Alpha or a F...

Re: Lieuwe shotgun beginner

I called lieuwe shop they actually recommended 138 mainly because I typically kite in <25 knots. So I went ahead and ordered the board. Hope I don’t regret it… its definitely expensive For progressing on that's good advice - will be a little more forgiving than a 136 and therefore help you progress...

Alpha v2 is a great single strut.
That looks like 8m.

Re: Ozone Alpha V2 - any news yet?

ohh I would not have imagined this ... and comparing it with the OR flite you sold the last year, which are the main differences? very curious... The 14.5 Flite was Aluula so not really comparable. But the Flite (for me) worked better on a twintip ... but I hated the pulleys sure! so I understand t...
