Mystic Gear Box for surfboards

I have a 5’10” north wam directional board. My local shop is telling me it will fit in the the Mystic Gear Box 5’8. They said they put the board in and tried it out. The mystic website clearly says it fits max size 5’8 board. This is a shot in the dark, but has anyone actually tried fitting a bigger...

kite foiling in waves is NOT surfing, not even close.
Thanks for that little nugget. I was very curious about that as a wave kitesurfer.

Re: Kite advice request: North Reach vs Cabrinha Moto

I’m considering North myself but they navigator bar puts me off, it’s very ‘15 design and we have 2022. Other brands have better bar systems. I ended up going with Cabrihna. I love my North Navigator bar though. That seatbelt click chickenloop is a game changer for me. Especially using my rope slid...

Re: Kite advice request: North Reach vs Cabrinha Moto

I have to ask if you have considered to extend your board quiver with a kitefoil? Then you dont need a 14 or 15 m2 kite (which would be no fun on a surfboard anyways), and you can ride in 8-9 knots with your 12 m2 and from 10-12 knots with your 9 m2. You're absolutely right. To be honest, I only bo...

Re: Aluula Kites - for those of you who already have some hands-on experience

But why listen to guys on the forum? If you ride in the Outer Banks, why not hook up with Real Watersports and demo some Aluula kites first. You'll know far better than any of us what you enjoy riding. Just my personal preference to crowdsource on the forums over going to a business to ask for a de...

Re: Kite advice request: north reach vs Cabrinha Moto

What's your weight? If you're in the 170-190 range I would recommend the following: 9m Drifter 11m or 12m Moto 15m Contra Full transparency I work with Cabrinha. I weigh 190lb/86kg. I've just recently started looking at the 15m Contra as well. I know with it being 15m that I wont ride it as often a...

Re: Aluula Kites - for those of you who already have some hands-on experience

I have 2 Aluulas 12/9 and also a non-Aluula 7. I love them for foiling and they are the best wave kites I have ever used. I am thinking about getting the 9m and 12m Roam Aluulas for wave riding. What do you think is the max wind range on that 12m for a 190lb/86kg rider? I'd like to have something t...

Re: Aluula Kites - for those of you who already have some hands-on experience

I am thinking of buying an Ocean Rodeo Allula quiver to replace my 2016 North 9m,12m,15m North quiver. Do you have any advice on what size aluula kites can replace my old quiver. Can 2 allulla kites replace three 2016 standard construction kites? For reference I am 190lb/86kg. I ride 75% waves on su...

Re: St Martin Caribbean in May

What's your usual setup and conditions? How much do you weigh? Do your ride a surfboard or foil? I prefer waves and freeride. I weight 190lbs/86kg. I prefer to ride a surfboard but for this trip I might just bring my TT's. i don't foil but I'd like to try it. I'm replacing my older quiver before th...
