Re: Strutless LEI vs foil

To close the gap how about a LEI like: - Strutless - Aluula LE material - High pressure thin bladder - Smaller LE diameter - No LE rub guards - Lightweight canopy ripstop - No pulley bridle - Unsheathed spectra bridle lines - Bridled to 3 lines (1 center, 2 steering) - Racing lines - No added pigtai...

Re: Step down wing from Slingshot INF76

Does the H1/TC68 really have low stability or should I put less credence in the Performance Characteristics bar graphs?

Re: an ultimate weapon for marginal wind ?

Thanks, for some reason the video links did not work earlier, but they work now. Interesting experiment, looks to be small enough and controllable using the big ear wingtips down. After some more research online I convinced myself this is a bad idea with my larger twinskin paraglider. Too much lift ...

Re: an ultimate weapon for marginal wind ?

...As you can see there is only A, C and Z so my speed system has only one pulley. But actually A is divided in two rows , which are therefore fixed, like my ex peak v1 had to maintain the LE stable, and I think it is a good thing to prevent fronstalls when sheet-out. I will try to modify as minimu...

Re: Stacking foil kites?

So I guess stacking is reserved only for klasik C kites and arcs... Or flexifoil stackers, framed 2 line kites, framed 4 line kites... RevStackBuggy.jpg I've flown static arc stacks and a rev stack (not me in the picture). The rev stack actually pulls way more upwind and is more maneuverable. Relau...

Re: New to Foils, bought a Pansh A15 12m

yes, that summary is dead on ! If you have an A15, try the Jackomixer. very easy to do, and fully reversible if you don't like it. But you will ! ... BTW Mr. PugetSoundKiter, I kited up there a few summers ago, man oh man it was great. Jetty Island and also some place way north...can't recall name ...

Re: New to Foils, bought a Pansh A15 12m

Thanks for the update F-Bear, Your posts save me experimentation and wondering time. :coffee: To summarize, please clarify if these are your findings so far? - Kite No Modification, Normal 1:1 Bar, 20m Lines. OK setup, but slow turning, needs too much bar throw and/or very long trimming. - Kite No M...

Re: Covid-19 - How does it affect your kite-life?

:advise: Vigorous exercise and even walking enhance the immune system, reducing chances of infection. And exercise and fresh air have a very positive effect on mood, reducing stress and anxiety...But what about social distancing? If that is good, you want folks to spread out as much as possible. Th...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

Good point, Z with no tension implies no tension to C or B. Of course there is some with line weight and drag. I would be interested to see dan_can 's simulations: (1) Full sheet out be the initial condition: - Minimal Z tension - Minimal C tension - Minimal B tension - The airfoil positioned at min...

Re: Pansh 12m A15 ultralight with Jackomixer wow

You had it right except the wrong pulley line on top. The Z pulley line should be on top, the mod does not cross swords. Yes but no, 3 possible diagrams of the 3 Mixers: 3Mixers-A.jpg 3Mixers-B.jpg 3Mixers-C.jpg All valid solutions, and many more  We're both correct  I do like the cl...
