Re: Wingfoil versus Kitefoil?

To be fair to winging in light winds. Im commonly riding 5~7 knots on a 2400 foil with 5.5m2 wing in Side-off shore. Using a 50cm fuselage, and a tiny stabi; everything is super nimble and reactive. 5'5 x 25 board weights 5kg , Im 65kg. Busy windsurfing/kitesurfing area. NOBODY else out. Not even u...

Re: Does Anyone Else Use the SS Infinity 99 For Kiting?

Thanks :thumb: Hi KDF - Seen several Wind/Wing-Surfer videos using the Infinity99 but none with a kite. Would be interested to see how you get started and what it looks like going so slow. Few questions: A. Do you start using the winger method of kneel to stand top of a big board or kiter method of ...

Re: Does Anyone Else Use the SS Infinity 99 For Kiting?

It is getting to be the low wind season here in Florida which is when I transition over to my Infinity 99. It takes me some time to get used to all the lift but at 105KG it is amazing that I can make it work with a Peak 8 m in a solid 8MPH. I also like how slow I can go once I am up and foiling. I ...

Re: Pansh Aurora III vs A15

Does this mod for the genesis have more or less bar pressure compared to Jackomixer? I’d say the same :) I am afraid it is not true. Jackomixer is not equivalent to standard 1:2:4 mixer, and so not equivalent to a pulley bar. Jackomier is 1:2:3 as far as i remember : it decreases profile camber whe...

Re: Flysurfer sonic Race

BTW I checked Sonic Race line plan and it quite a lot seems to me there is a design flaw in it... I leave it to foil kite enthusiasts to find out what suspicious or even wrong there is in Sonic Race. FlysurferFamily.jpg Extra pulleys, extra bridles/mains, extra weight, extra drag just to manage win...

Re: Pansh Aurora III vs A15

Hi Bille, My idea comes from Flysurfer’s Speed4DLX and F-One’s Diablo1 kites. The Speed4 uses 3 span rows with a single pulley mixer. The Diablo uses a “Turbo” line so mid-sheeting C=Z. This mixer reverses the idea so Z=C mid-sheeting. M4-Flysurfer_Speed4_B-Tuning.jpg My goal was to match the low AR...

Re: Pansh Aurora III vs A15

I made this mod to a 12m Genesis [AR=3.8] inspired by 10m Speed4DLX that only uses A, B & Z Mains [AR=4.8]. Works excellent. Plan to design & tune lengths for this mod on a 12m A15 next [AR=4.2]. Don't think it is a good mod for a higher aspect ratio kite like the Aurora.

Re: Flysurfer sonic Race

That setting lowers camber quite a lot. It means kite will fly slower, boosting/upwind is worse and kite sits deeper in the WW. However lower camber means better stability. If you make kite fly further in WW it also means it will be more prone to unstability and even collapses. I've used that kite ...

Re: Flysurfer sonic Race

I was told that the Sonic Race was designed specifically for hydrofoil racing and that it is not much fun with a twintip. Just curious if anyone has tried one with a regular board and what they thought of it? Old thread but I have a question about the upper windrange of the SonicFR. I have flown an...
