Fast or Slow?

What's better for learning, short lines about 10m in length, or more an average length, say 20m?
Edit: fast in that the kite would feel more reactivate, slower with 20m

Re: Switch kites current state of the union

Does anyone even know who makes their kites now and what design they're putting their name on? Isn't new biz model to buy current designs from Ikon, maybe make a few tweaks, change colors and put Switch name on? Not inexpensive enough to bother with imho.

Re: The first company to produce a quality QR for those who never unhook ...

You can buy one today. The plastic housing is a prototype (3D printed), works well and should last a few years at least. Need only one QR for all your bars! https://www.infexion.eu/shop/max_bar/quick-release/seatbelt-quick-release-eye/ I have one. Certainly not going back to the hook and the chicke...

Re: new redesigned LF Solo vs SS Ghost for foiling

Yeah, I've heard that about BRM. Greg decides if you're cool enough to buy one of his wonderful kites. He'll interview you to be sure. Give me a break! Talk about arrogance. It's like some sort of club. I guess if you're dumb enough to put up with such BS go for it. It's simply clever marketing. New...

Re: Standalone ChickenLoop QuickRelease?

The old Megatron design does allow for the knotted depower line and a safety line through the middle or close to it. However, I'm not sure if it's worth going to it considering it's big and bulky design, pia to shorten the CL and somewhat fiddly reset and perhaps most of all, discontinued design. Pe...

17m kite market is dying
Not everyone is 140 lbs, thank God, and not everyone wants to foil, good riddance.

Re: Standalone ChickenLoop QuickRelease?

It appears this is possible on the Ozone because both the depower and safety lines are offset, a great idea. It's my understanding that making the CL shorter is not an easy diy task.

Re: Standalone ChickenLoop QuickRelease?

QRs with one depower line only seem to exist when PU tubing is used to house both the one skinny depower line and the safety line. The closest to one line and no PU is the new Eleveight v2.5 bar. Two lines exit the rotor head and the join together, in a splice I presume, a few cm above. It seems tha...
