Re: How much of an annoyance are hourglass skis?

I've used all kinds of skis and snowboards for snowkiting. In my experience, it simply doesn't matter that much. Yes, you might have to adjust your angles a little here and there but it's not a big deal. I'd say use what you have.

Re: Aluula Kites - for those of you who already have some hands-on experience

Havre: You're quite right that most folks are fine with a 14m to 10m gap or 17m to 12m. I like a 2m gap myself so the 14.5 Aluula has eliminated the need for one kite for me. I'm curious whether you have some sessions on a bigger Aluula kite or not. I truly hope I don't seem rude in asking but it se...

Re: Aluula Kites - for those of you who already have some hands-on experience

I would argue you hardly need 14.5 - 12 - 10 in the first place. So I don't see how having an Aluula-kite changes anything? And this isn't me bashing Aluula. Really cool with new development, but to me it doesn't sound like Aluula has done that much for the wind range - if anything at all. To me it...

Re: Aluula Kites - for those of you who already have some hands-on experience

The OP asked for input from riders with hands-on experience..... I've had a 14.5 Flite in Aluula construction for over a year. Snow, ice, water, land. Gliding, foiling, skis, skates, twintip, surfboard, mtn board. I never thought I'd get another big inflatable--much less enjoy one--but this kite is ...

Re: Should I fix a small scratch on this hydrofoil wing?

I agree with OzBungy's options. Sand it a little and go ride. It's nothing to worry about. My old hydrofoil wings are all banged up but work fine.

Nice. Is the rider doing those little glides on a Flysurfer Peak?

Re: Advice on next wing?

Thanks, foursquare! Yep, it's all subjective. But the early iterations of any design are often superseded by better. Not always! Anyway, I feel like the large tube diameter of Wasp v1 adds weight and bulk without any other redeeming element except rigidity. For me, rigidity is not important either. ...

Advice on next wing?

I have an Ozone Wasp 6m v1. It works but it seems like the tube diameter is unnecessarily huge. Also, mini booms seem like a better idea than handle straps. What's a better option? Thanks!
