Re: Duotone defalte valve

Thanks for comments I believe the root cause is having the launcher turn over the kite while you are upwind of the kite. One thing I'm sure is, I'm never upwind of the kite when it is turned over. I actually hate when someone does that because it is harder to hold the kite while holding it. Instead,...

Duotone defalte valve

Often happens that on Duotone Evo D/Lab the bridle is stuck on the deflate valve during launch. Usually I have to halt the launch of the kite and "untagle" it before trying to relaunch the kite. This time my caddy already released the kite and the bridle opened the valve somehow and this part that y...

Re: Duotone Evo Dlab

I'm 90 kgs. I actually prefer hangtime over heights in bigger sizes but I'm not sure if 13 is actually better for hangtime than 12m. 9m and 12m might have been a nice combo, but I was sure that I need an 8 for the really strong conditions, and I didn't want to have 8 and 9, but actually that seems t...

Re: Duotone Evo Dlab

I have a question regarding difference between Evo D/Lab 12m and 13m. I tried them both but lot of time passed between the 2 tries so I have some feedback but some questions as well. My comment might also be related to this: Anyone tried the 13m and 12m Evo DLAB and can comment on light wind perform...

Re: Duotone 2024 gear release date

@Blackended Wow, great summary. It could be used as "narration" for the upcoming documentary of Mike :) You mention: "The kites being pushed just follow the trends in the industry. Styles/judging evolved, so the kites evolved to support that style of riding." I feel that before the riders were follo...

Re: Duotone 2024 gear release date

I also think that this is happening. But my question is: do you think there will be a new "better fit" for the pro big air riders this year than the Evo D/Lab?

Re: Duotone 2024 gear release date

Duotone is brilliant in changing which kite model is "hot" - I think it "urges" people to get new models more frequently. In 2018-2020 it felt like the Dice was the one (used on Kota by several riders). Then the Dice SLS came as an upgrade. But by the time many people upgraded it turned out the the ...

Rib injury photos

I remember there was a photo about Andrea Principi where his rib injury was visible. I cannot find that photo. Can you please share it, and other kitesurfing rib injury photos as well? I just get a new Mystic Majestic X harness and had a crash where I hurt my ribs. I don't think it is broken, but ac...

I made 2 clips there: https://youtu.be/C5ZeBepISUA https://youtu.be/8EUyJaEvQtQ I made an article in Hungarian, you can use translator: https://adrenalinsportok.hu/lefkada-gorogorszag-kitesurf-spot/ TL;DR; During summer for 12m and bigger kite you can ride every day and the wind is very-very stable ...

RRD Obsession Y25 9m (EU - Hungary)

I started using this kite in February 2020 and used it until the end of 2020. Ever since I have been riding hydrofoils with soft kites or my Duotone Dice and I didn't use this kite at all. I think this kite is a good compromise between an advanced kite for unhooked tricks, and a fun kite for old-sch...
