Re: Kevin Langeree leaving Naish... with Poll

Bet he goes to North. They dont really have anyone going strong on the tour but people with a strong social media presence.

They must be attracting people by handing out shares vs a paycheck. Guess this makes sense in the long run.

Re: So my chicken loop broke + advice

Used about 4 seasons

The PU tubing was fine, no wear at all. So the sand somehow finds its way in at the end or the tubes and collects inside.

I no longer feel safe do anything too far out at sea.

So my chicken loop broke + advice

At the top of a high jump.

At home I pulled out the dyneema out of the PU tube and was surprised at how much sand found its way in there. I thought it was too snug for sand to get in but it does and grinds away.

If you get any new PU tubing kite gear, seal it with silicone sealant. Bathroom stuff.

Re: Drop Your $&@#ing Kite!

I've been known to give their kite a little whack in the air... gotta have the skills to do it, but they quickly learn. Play chicken with the kooks / wankers. I don't see what this will achieve except possibly ripping 2 kites and being labeled as a massive kook as the guy who intentionally rams oth...

Re: Drop Your $&@#ing Kite!

Wonder if its locals or visitors? At my beach a handful of kiters are making the scene seem dangerous to me. People jump and do backrolls upwind or close to you, not give way to starboard tack when on the same heading, short tack in front of you when you are coming in and they are going out so you c...

Change these or they still good?

Re: Anyone swap their bar colors around?

Recognizing which side of the bar is left and right is so important.

After unspinning your bar and your kite is careening towards the water you have just a split second to grab the right side and steer the kite up. I like the idea of painting one side of the bar or using a ribbon.

Anyone swap their bar colors around?

My bar is black on the right and yellow/orange on the left. After a big wipeout, and I'm disorientated and the kite has crashed, I always find is confusing when I reach out with my right hand to find the black part of the bar which is underwater and hard to find. I always seem to grab the bright par...

Re: How often do you inspect your gear on a kiteshop?

I experienced two times in two weeks, my Cabrinha Drifter first tear in a half last week during a normal water drop. And this week my 2017 Cabrinha bar, broke a middle line I was 1000m from the coast... So, How often do you inspect your gear on a kite shop? There is a recommended time to do so? I a...
