Re: FS Soul 15m or 18m for very lightwind foiling

With big wings you really don't benefit much from the bigger kites. (80kg, spitfire, custom xlw wing, style freestyle, staps and strapless Strapless freestyle: I can kite 19m R1V2 when the kite stays in the air moving. (too low wind to keep it in 12 a clock), about 4 knots. I would not call this enj...

Re: Flysurfer Sonic Race VMG

Hi, update. 21m kite is still very difficult to fly. I have flown R1V2 19m which is very easy kite. Also elf joker 8 in 15m is easier kite to fly. Also P L aero 2 is easy compared to race at least in very big sizes. I deffinitely won't recommend it in gusty lake conditions. About boosting. Finally g...

Re: Pansh vs cloud c5 13.5

Hi, im new hydrofoiler and im at the intersection of choosing between the c5 13.5 to pansh aurora v2/a15. My goal is to surf at 6-12 knots with the kite but also to have fun with a fast responding kite to its size. Another fear that i have is the relaunch and self rescue. To summarize i would like ...

Re: F one Diablo V1 12m

Diablo V1 is excellent kite. It is fairly easy foil kite. stable compared to many other kites of the same age (Sonic fr, Elf joker 7, R1V1) It is good for hydrofoil. It is ok for freestyle. Does jump ok, not as well as flysurfer sonic fr. Turning speed is very low, lot worse than flysurfer sonic or ...

Re: Sonic FR 11 Long Mixer Test

Hi,

I have done the long mixer test to all of my flysurfer sonics. Race kites are quite prone to frontal stalls and even frontal collapses. I would tune little by little towards correct measurements. Most likely if you tune it all the way to correct, it will be unstable

Re: Soul 12M in low wind behaviour

1 thing. If it is new kite. Just shorten backlines so that when you fully pull the bar it will backstall back to the ground. If this does not fix it then shorten B 1 cm and C 2cm on both sides. You can also lengthen Z 1-2 cm. But I think it is very unlikely that you need to tune mixer if the kite is...

Re: Tips for learning to ride toeside

Break it in parts: 1 learn to waterstart directly to toeside. This is useful and easier than heel to toe side turn. 2 learn to ride board on water toeside (it helps if you use bigger kite than usual) 3 learn to foil downwind (for me going slightly downwind made toeside easier) 4 learn to go upwind t...

Re: Flysurfer Sonic Race VMG

I don't have VMG. But I assume it is similar to race because of 3 line briddle. Sonic 2 is better allaround kite by far. Mainly it Jumps far better. It feels like Mustang Sonic race Is very stable and ultra efficient. Flies clearly faster. Incredible pull. I have used 21m in 3 knots and am able to ...

Re: Foil kite waterstarting in low and marginal wind

In marginal wind with smaller race kite (up to 12m) I usually either loop or backstall near water in middle of the window. With bigger kite sizes it is often better to backstall the kite to the opposite edge of the window. This is true especially with my 21m race kite. Also as pointed right trim set...
