Re: Want to put bungee inside dyneema

It's not working for you? Or do you have the version without BB? yes, my QR without BB, as I was told that BBs they had at the moment was not super rust-proof... so I went with simple-reliable, did not want to risk. I have another QR from GB and this one is titanium and has ceramic bearing, so I ma...

Re: Want to put bungee inside dyneema

So it can "auto untwist". switched month ago, modified ozone race bar, works pretty good however there is no auto-untwist function provided by QR... if you need help converting to infexion, f...

Re: Is this approach safe?

The two rings are one for lazyness (to attach the fixed front; didn't want to bother with a EStar know), the other to allow the other front line to run through and flag out. I wanted to follow up on Ronstan piece with the ring for flag out, is this what you building? Sorry I have very bad comprehen...

It's a thick needle with a female screw thread in the end. You screw the bungee into the thread until it jams then pass the needle up the middle of the dyneema as usual.
it needs to be stitched anyways, any good vide or references on stitching bungee to dyneema?

You can buy multiple sizes of dyneema bungee at West Marine. But it only comes in white.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 5

If you accelerate straight downwind to a speed faster than the wind speed, the apparent wind drops to zero before coming out of the opposite direction. With every step the real speed and apparent wind will go down somewhat. In full downwind-state you will not be as fast as before, but still faster ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak

What is the wind speed you are riding that 5m in? ...I'd guess you'd be looking at around 16-25 knots for your LEI 5m. Not sure how fast I'm going downwind but probably around 7 knots. This sort of thing isn't really possible with any other kite than a single skin like the Peak. Thanks, now it's ma...
