Kitesurfing wave spots around the world

Hey, I am in the very fortunate position in that I will be able to work abroad for next 4 months, starting from May most likely. Work load will be light and I'm looking to do wave riding at some of the best spots around the globe at the same time. Looking at towns to stay that have access to fairly ...

Re: What’s the best board you have ever tried?

Every single Tomo I've ever gotten on. Vanguard: magic (rode it until I snapped the non kite rapidfire construction in half jumping it, it's now back together as my foil board) Vader: although my current one is a little too big, ridden the correct sized and it's magic. Pair it with some of FW fins ...

Re: How to launch the kite?

Small clarification on my part. Is there a way to self launch the kite without it dragging on the beach for a few metres (or more) as it moves to the edge of the wind window? Been self launching for a season now but havent really perfected that aspect of self launch. Is it inevitable? Or do I need a...

Re: Core XR4 or Free

Havent had a chance to ride the free. But love the xr4 particularly in my 7m size. Stable as, handles gusts really well and has a massive windrange. I can ride it from 15 knots up to 35 knots+ with a change of board in between (75kg). We don't get wind over 35 knots where im from (unless a gust comi...

Re: Anyone replace their Ride Engine rope slider yet?

And best part is my core chicken loop fits perfectly around it in such a way that it locks onto the antal ring and won't come off even if there is no pressure from the kite. Perfect setup for me. Can you post a picture of that showing how it locks in and what size ring you used? There was discussio...

Re: Anyone replace their Ride Engine rope slider yet?

No, no, no! Never use just one round ring - always use two (2)! No, always use an Antal ring. They're cheap and so much superior to SS rings. I just got an antal ring last week for my RE harness. Super smooth. Not even comparable to just running rhe CL in smoothness. And best part is my core chicke...

Re: Core kite bar removing the chicken loop?

Yes, i just tried that out this morning. The only problem I had was that I couldnt turn the quick release. As the stiff chicken loop provided the leverage before for completing the rotation.

Does your bar have the twist to release qr? Or push/pull?

Core kite bar removing the chicken loop?

Hey, I'm riding a dynabar with ball bearing attachment on the rope slider, which is easily my favourite sliding setup I've tried thus far. I'm finding that when I'm solidly powered up, however, that the bar is getting too far away (especially in gusty/stormy conditions when you really need to work t...
