Re: waxing kite lines

There’s clearly a market opportunity for some kind of product to lengthen the life of trim/centre lines. Like Duotone now make board pad protectors maybe this is the next accessory. It is not an issue to get the same or similar coating to what kite line manufacturers use. The issue is curing it at ...

Given the above, all these 3 kites can be considered dangerous for you, as soon as there is enough wind to launch them.

Speak to your kite instructor.

Posted this elsewhere but issue wasn’t really with sewing.
That's what you mean?
I've seen it on RRD lines which have the same construction as Q-power but are made in Europe and was wondering what is the cause for this.

Re: best type of front wing for very light wind conditions for kiting

papasmerf, I think you should first check if you can upgrade your quiver with another front wing and then look at other options - looks like 1500R or HA1250/1450 might do the job North News: SONAR FOILS   Race-foil design guru George Hradil and former America's Cup marine engineer, Uli Sommerlatt, h...

Re: Core Kite with Low V Bar

I think the difference you are feeling is from the type of lines, not where the split is located. Couldn't it be also from the bar stick itself? Those plastic thin bars are extremely bendy compared to the solid aluminum bars most other brands use. I don't know guys. Are you suggesting that the Core...

Re: DIY long pigtail

Cabrinha adjustable pigtails as dango mentioned above. Min. length is 15cm (you need to move the knot upwards). Fully extended are 30cm. One fig8 knot shortens them by 3cm. The pigtail line is exactly the same as their leader lines. Don't have to be original Cabrinha, repair shops make them. Fixmyki...

Re: Upgrade my ancient GK Sonic bars

+1 for Infexion's seatbelt QR! You need just one QR that stays attached to your harness. The depower line of the bar terminates with a O-ring. Updating the trim system - £12/set clam cleat + aero base, ask Herman where to get it from: https://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2409704 The power bracket f...

Re: Thermal trousers/shorts (neoprene) underneath the wetsuit?

If budget's not an issue, check ISURUS. The only brand I know with 'Extra Tall' size: " size LTS is designed specifically for a surfer build with long arms and legs where a MT is too short on the arms/legs and the LT is too loose. " They are one of the very few surf wetsuit brands using Yamamoto #39...

Re: Thermal trousers/shorts (neoprene) underneath the wetsuit?

Anyone got any experience with something like this? https://www.select-sport.com/en/profcare/profcare-sports-supports/thermal-trousers I got a 4/3 wetsuit that works great for more or less the full spring/summer/autumn season in Norway - as well as places like Cape Town. But occasionally it would b...

Re: Help Finding the Holy Grail Light Wind Boards

Alaia vs surfboard? A large TT anyone can handle but an Alaia, isn't that like getting into straplessland with the tricky turning? Or how is it different? Very different, despite both being directional and strapless, yet you can put straps on both if you wish. The Alaia, Kilaia or Tiki is the ultim...
