Re: Looking for cheap lines supplier

Learning to splice is easy. Getting the whole process right and a perfect end result is not. +1 for Evan for his meticulous work on kite lines and control systems. He's one of not many having own test jig and most importantly studying each line he uses as regards splicing, loop, knot strengths. If y...

Re: foil wing voids

So the next stage in my wing fun. The wing hasn’t been in the water for at least a couple of weeks. But today it started leaking water out of some pinholes in the leading edge. I got about a teaspoon out of it. This may also explain why it was wet when I took it out of the cover a few days ago, I w...

Re: How to change high Y-Bar to Low-V bar??

As mentioned already, check first if the loop to loop connection between the front line and lower safety line passes smoothly through the QR. If it does, get a low-V splitter (power bracket). 2 examples shown in the photo below. If it doesn't, you need a few meters long safety line attached to one o...

Re: Looking for a new helmet

Gamebreaker pro water polo helmet. www.projectsurfhelmet.com Nice one! I'd only add the new Decathlon surf helmet - so much better than the odd looking old one. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/helmet-for-surfing/_/R-p-327505 And their kite helmet of course: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/ks-kitesurfin...

Great insight Seb!
Will you have all these adapters available for purchase in your online shop?

Get someone to hold the board for you and jump on it with some more speed. Rear foot should land on the board first. Don't jump too high, just a tad above the board and let it foil straight for a few meters before you start pumping. Watch this video, all well explained: https://youtu.be/F-ua2ktzOv0 ...

Re: Guys, need help with Duotone kite size

Get a 15m Juice and a larger board.
You need some skills to keep a 15m Rebel up in the air at 10 knots.

Re: Reinforcement for booties sole

Which one would you recommend and how long does ittake to harden? Thanks Check the data sheets of 291i and 292i. If I'm not mistaken 292i has a shorter drying time of 40min against 60' for 291i. Full curing in 24 hours for both. 291i is available at many online shops incl Amazon and cheaper for tha...

Re: Warning - Mystic stealth hook snap!

Flexural stress induced failure is a great reason to never use aluminum in parts that flex/bend. Steel is much more resistant and can be counted on in most cases, forever. Don't let the mtb bike industry know that! God forbid that they know that what they've been confidently relying on for 30+ year...
