Re: Chicken Loop & Fireball - Harness Modification

If there's room, run a rope slider on the spreader bar in addition to the normal spreader bar hook . This would allow using the fireball QR without the ball/stick part, just attach the Fireball to a ring on the slider rope or if you want to get fancy, dig out the metal piece from the ball/stick par...

Re: Chicken Loop & Fireball - Harness Modification

.... Cabrinha could have (should have) offered a spreader bar with a Modular type system to change out the attachments for the Fireball, hook, and rope. Instead they opted to make the attachment options built around the Modular QR system which forces one to have two spreader bars. One for a hook an...

Re: Chicken Loop & Fireball - Harness Modification

That doesn't look or sound right at all!

Why don't you just use a soft shackle and connect the Fireball QR directly to it?
Or use your Fireball spreader bar on the Stealth harness. The Cabrinha Freball spreader has 2x25mm slots for the Mystic webbings, and weighs pretty much the same.

Re: New control bar front lines shorter than back lines

The older Cabrina bars had adjustable pigtails (the set on the right), whith length that can vary between 13 and 30cm and be precisely adjusted to the mm. You can surely find such adjustable pigtails. Infexion and Ventum offer them for sure. To your question about putting a knot on the pigtail (in n...

Re: Nice helmet with space for a neoprene cup/hood

Guys, Usually I'm wearing a neoprene cup just to keep warm. Yes I don't have too much hairs:D but the problem is the size of the helmet. I have ion XL (61cm) and helmet seems to be too small (without neoprene cup is ok). Can You advice me good big helmet with nice design. Thank You and have good we...

What's to understand about N-weave? It's not even on their "PRO" kite... You don't see the irony in the esteemed high tec "sailing" company that's the only big name left still only making Dacron kites? That it's one of the most complex weaves to make. And arguably the only one stable in ...

Re: Welded Canopy Panels

Any updates? 1. No time lately 2. No interest from someone to invest in further R&D 3. I am not particularly convinced that the welded LE segments have a great advantage vs a lap seam - something been done by quite a few brands in the past. Printed canopy update - direct print on regular canopy isn...

Re: Sorry, your used gear is worth nada

You base your assumptions on Slingshot that isn’t even in top five kite companies? Where are these worthless second hand dlab/Aluula kite you are claiming? For €500 I’m happy to risk in second hand dlab kite but I don’t see any of them on second hand market. Some second hand gear has better resale ...

Re: High Pressure kite by Bruno Legaignoux

... But from the excellent job you did on the LE, it is the most difficult job in a kite, I am sure you can grab surfplan and build your own kite.... +1 for the dedication and the outcome :thumb: As for the software - the KaroroCAD free online version can do much more than the free/demo Surfplan! A...

Re: Pansh Kestrel, high performance kite

Sorry for the somewhat off-topic - if anyone needs a brand new 45-62cm adjustable bar, these 2 will be going cheap. P.S. To Europe only. Pull-pull trim, which most hate, but some love. Pin QR with a bit too long CL, which I would shorten right away. Line length - 17-20-21-24m. Weight without the saf...
